NCAA agrees with Ohio State Buckeyes' football findings - ESPN

"Investigators said they found no evidence that Ohio State failed to properly monitor its football program or any evidence of a lack of institutional control, according to a letter sent to the university and released Friday."

Is the selling of the memorabilia for cash failing to monitor properly? Or am I missing something.

Tressel also told them about it before Ohio State said he did. What the hell, man.

If you compare what S.Cal did and and what OSU did side by side, and then compare what S. Cal got and what OSU got side by side, you will realize NCAA could go down as the joke of the decade in the entire sports world.

Now I am wondering if we are too hard on ourselves by self-imposing a 2-year probation.

I read that the NCAA went to the SI writer to find out who his contacts were, but they couldn't be promised confidentiality, so they wouldn't talk. NCAA had nothing. An OSU skates

When did OSU stick it's middle finger up at the NCAA and tell it to suck their nuts? Cause that's pretty much what USC did

Next on the agenda is to figure out a payment plan for athletes so all the NCAA's baffoonery will quickly be forgotten.

kind of curious about one thing, will let yall do the thinking on this one for me:

tNCAA also said they were through with Cam, and then 6 months later they make the statement of "we're not done with you, you will know when we are done".

Is there a chance that they are waiting for the Feds to finish off the tattoo parlor fella, and then they open it back up?

I havent had time to read everything about what they just released, but I have to think they are not as finished with this as they might lead us to think.

When did they say they were through with the Cam Newton saga? I don't think that's what it meant when they declared Cam eligible for the Bama game or whichever it was. They just didn't have the evidence to declare him ineligible at the time.

That is more or less what I was saying. Unless you followed it very closely, that is the impression they left you with.

Im still not convinced that tO$U is off this completely. I hope to heck they are not. Pure travesty of justice (well, justice would be the wrong word)
