I imagine that tOSU's extension of retirement benefits to Tressel is hush money; the newspaper article is working only off of Jim Tressel's previous statements, which he can always chalk up to a misstatement. I imagine that the NCAA, without Tressel's cooperation, has no manner of making a conclusive connection to the rest of the AD.

The NCAA should be torn down and completely dismantled, what an utter disgrace. I have never in my life been privy to such wanton corruption and complete disregard for what's right. With each decision handed down from the NCAA I am becoming more and more convinced that there is no hope but to break away and start anew.
