yep he had em prepared for the NC game last year

No doubt they looked awful. But the thought of an OSU fan being upset with Tressel is absolutely stupid. This is their first loss to a team they were better than in quite a while. I still can't think of a better job in the last 10 years to win a national title with the talent on the 2002 squad, regardless of if Miami got screwed on the pass interference.

I am glad our week schedule caught up as well. I love the buckeyes but have thought our schedule did not constitute a number one status.

I can not deny Tressel's wins but still do not like his style

I played all the way through college and I do not like the fact that no matter what he shows no emotion other than dispair. He does not get angry, does not get happy and overall does not hold his players accountable.

He called a timeout which gave IL the time to plan to go for it, they were going to punt.

I am a big fan of the Woody, Bobby Knight style of coaching and he is far from that.

No cooper can stay in his office in Columbus and watch it from there. We hate the prevent defense as well

Did you play at Ohio State?

Laughing at OSU...

What pretenders, thank goodness they lost. I was starting to think they they were going to get the smackdown in the BCS game against an SEC team for the second year in a row (LSU). So much for that, but so much the better.

Not looking for an arguement, but Fulmer's in 98(last 10 years) following the departure of Manning is easily AT LEAST as impressive. :nono:

He is just like Phil really talented teams with ton of NFL players but besides the one year cant win the big ones.

OSU should be thanking the Zookmeister....if he doesnt upset them, then they probably face LSU and get embarrassed again. The SEC has already shown what it can do against these joke #1 ranked big ten teams. Can you believe last week ESPN had the gall to talk about Boeckman as a Heisman candidate? Can you believe that?

I quit watching College GameDay after they become so biased towards the Big 10. They really need to rename the show Big 10 GameDay or something more appropriate to its content.

They spent most of last year talking about the OSU-MI game of the century between undefeated titans. Then, they talked about a rematch of those two teams for the NC game. What a joke when both teams were blasted in their bowls by the SEC and Pac 10.

If this year's OSU team had made it to a game against LSU for the NC, it could have put an end to all this Big 10 crap.

Could ASU (App. SU, not AZ S), have gone undefeated in the Big 10 this year? Who knows. What we do know is that undefeated in the Big 10 should NOT mean an automatic bid to the NC game.

The 1998 Vols team was much better than the 2002 Buckeyes. Not meant as a shot at Fulmer at all. I just think Tressel did an unbelievable job.

And to think everyone on here called me crazy when I said Zook would beat OSU just a couple weeks back. Well, we see how that turned out.

Im not certain...but before last years absolute destroying at the hands of the Gators....wasnt OSU's last big bowl game against the SEC the Citrus Bowl when the Vols handled the mighty Buckeyes? They had Mr. Heisman trophy winner Eddie George. In that game one of the greatest defensive plays ever for the Vols happened....it was 4th and goal from the 1/2 yard line...Mr. Heisman gets the ball and is stuffed by Bill Duff!!!! Anyone else remember that play??? I jumped out of my seat when that happened!

As a sidenote....I also remember what the Vols did to the mighty Wolverines a few years back. Lucky for Carr it was Fulmer coaching us....if it was someone else we would have put 60 on em. Phil called off the dogs late........

SC also beat them in the Outback in 01 and 02. They don't do well in bowls vs SEC.

Yeah, it's too bad myself and hat mentioned that Illinois would shoot up the Big 10 back in June.

I've been saying that forever, just haven't saw it discussed around here much. Zook has done an incredible job of landing some great recruits to build the team around.

They had an bad 2006 at 2-10, but the stats had them as the 4th best Big 10 team last year. Figured they'd even it out this year.

No reason to believe that they won't be at least 3rd and contending with Michigan and OSU through the next couple of years with that great core of young talent they have. What Zook has done/will probably do is simply incredible.

The fact that Ron Zook has had success at Illinois should tell you how feeble the Big Ten really is.

Heck, why not put Jim Donnan at Minnesota and REALLY create a logjam at the top?
