Ohio State President - Boise, TCU not worthy

He speaks truth about Boise and TCU though,,, they play weak sisters week in and out and the occasional almost big game.

I had heard TCU was being romanced by the Big East.

The Suckeyes want none of what TCU would bring to them. Presidents should keep their mouth shut and write checks.

I root for TCU and Patterson, but OSU in the past decade, OSU has scheduled series with Texas, USC, Miami, and I believe they have one in the future with Tennessee, and possibly other good schools I'm forgetting. They're not going to be dreading playing TCU.

texas, SC, and thUg U wouldn't want any part of the Frogs either.

I see what you're saying, I just disagree. Ohio State is a very historic, sound football program. They are not, however, the Belle of the Ball outside their conference. The mystique of the Vest is no longer intimidating imo.

Go here. Scroll down to 2007 and check out that murderer's row OSU faced to get to the NC game.
I feel like most Buckeyes knew they weren't really one of the top two teams in the country and they just slipped through a dreadful schedule with a rebuilding team.

And still, finishing the season beating all those 9-4 teams is probably more impressive than anything Boise has ever done.

OSU plays all the other sister Ohio schools and a handfull of little 10/12 conf. games. They have no reason to bash anyone.

More impressive than not losing a regular season home game since Sept 8th, 2001 (62-0)?

Nice misdirection.
Please point out the misdirection. No reason at all why OSU couldn't do that with Boise's schedule. And How does beating crappy teams over the years make Boise any more deserving this year?

Is beating four 9-4 Big10 teams more impressive than going 62-0 at home?
With Boise's 62 home games, it's at least close.

You stated that OSU beating four 9-4 teams in a row is probably more impressive than anything Boise had done. When I asked you if OSU's herculean feat was more impressive than BSU winning its last 62 in a row at home, you responded that OSU would probably have won those 62 games also, thereby avoiding the question of which feat is more impressive. That was the misdirection.

No, I said that going 62-0 against that schedule wasn't really impressive at all.

If BSU wins its last home game this year and its first next year, that will be 10 years without losing a regular season home game. BSU football budget over that 10 year span is less than OSU's annual budget ($31million).

So you are saying it is easier to win 62 in a row at home than it is to beat 4 unranked teams? Break it down for me, because that just sounds insane to me.
