OSU doesn't run a spread, I wish they did though. He would've had a ton more success.

My bad I thought they did, I dont watch much BIG *****, opps I mean Big 10 football lol. For his style of QB that system works. Thats why Urban Cryer left FU because he realized he couldnt run his O with out his glorified fullback Teblow.

Haha its not like he didn't have his choice of schools coming out of high school. He's the one that wanted to play a more conventional style to have a shot at playing qb in the pros. He has improved from a qb standpoint every year imo. I like Pryor and im glad he picked OSU, but the 350z incident was extremely dumb. Even with that I think he is taking entirely too much heat. It would be different if he was the only player at fault but there are numerous.

i took at look at the ohio state messageboard and was shocked how strong the support for tressell was. i'd be pissed if my coach was that dumb.

Lots of UT fans act the same way with Pearl.

I do think Tressel was a mentor and positive influence for most of the young men that he came into contact with. However, that doesn't excuse him for using a little extra to get some of the elite players. I think Tressel is probably a fine man that knows how to deal with people for the most part, but he did what a lot of coaches do and that is get caught up in winning and did everything he could to win. Once you place a high emphasis on that, you can't blame anybody but yourself when you get caught.

Same goes for Wooden. He was a positive influence on almost everyone he came into contact with. He was a master motivator. However, that doesn't excuse him from turning a blind eye to what went on in his program.

Both are still respectable men.

Just glad this was a Big Ten school. Was getting a bit tired of hearing the media blaming the SEC for being the biggest cheaters out there. It's all over the place folks.

Gilmore's argument is pretty baseless. The fact is that Tressel resigned and lost one of the best gigs in college football trying to protect a guy who frankly wasn't worth losing your job over. To say that TP is getting more heat because he's black is like saying that the only reason we hated Osama Bin Laden was because he was Muslim. Never mind the fact that he's damaged the team with his selfish actions. And yes, other players have been receiving benefits too, but the QB is always going to be in the spotlight more. Race has nothing to do with this and for Gilmore to say that really just shows that ESPN is trying to stir up more controversy and ratings, which is typical.

And the fact that TP has been driving these new cars around even after it has been announced that the NCAA is looking into them is pure idiocy. Note to TP, you're not that good and I hope you have fun in the UFL.

It would be an interesting theory if UT had anything to do with the blaze in the OSU football program since their basketball recruits help burn down our basketball program.

I am just happy to see the Big 10 exposed with Michigan caught and now Ohio State. They always talk down to the SEC and now their chickens are coming home to roost.

Pearl is a piker compared to the ship that Tressel was running. Seem to recall at one time OSU had over 500 secondary violations in about an eight year period.

Fire away, baby!

Well, Auburn and Alabama are in the SEC so they kind of have a point...
