"The players are eligibile for the bowl game because the NCAA determined they did not receive adequate rules education during the time period the violations occurred"

i'm failing to see why ohio state should benefit from improper education?

Its like speeding and getting pulled over and telling the cop to let me off because I didnt see the sign, its total crap that the NCAA let that pass

they are not suspended for the bowl game, only for 2011 season b/c see below

WHICH IS BS, imo

It is BS but I'm glad it worked out like that. My OSU friends think they could beat anyone. If they're out for the bowl game then that's why they would lose. I'd end up with no bragging rights.

well damn. Granted I picked them to win, and with Pryor, I expect them to. I was really just looking forward to seeing the sports fans in that state whine and cry.

Why does it matter if they can play in the bowl game or not? In the current system, it's just another irrelevant bowl game, all be it a higher profile one. I hope the 5 game suspensions next year leads to yet another irrelevant bowl game for them.

I don't think the guy is ready at all, but I wonder if this will push Pryor into the draft. Would he rather sit out 5 games next year or go pro? He may not push his draft stock any higher by trying to improve his passing skills for at most 8 games next year.

b/c in the real word, pleading ignorance to a rule/law doesnt mean you are not guilty.

The NCAA isnt suspending them for the bowl game because of ratings. Over half of these kids wont be back next year anyway

hard to see pryor being a first day pick unless he will be willing to switch positions.
