So how do we get there? Bold are remaining home games.

USC - W? YEAH BABY!!
AL - L
Mizzou - L? NOW #5 YIKES!
Auburn - W/L? now ranked #11 WTH!!
Vandy - W
KY Jelly - W

If Worley can improve some (PLEASE!) I think we beat KY and Mizzou, the sixth win is tall order though. Auburn and Vandy are home games soooo....??

If we had just beat GA, dangit!

Don't know about MIZZ now, they are lookin pretty good. Also Auburn??????

Don't know if SC is a "must win" but it is starting to look like it????

UPDATE:

Now we only need 2 more wins, 3 and CBJ is INSTANT coach of the year!!

Even the ND OSU MICH Etc homer press is noticing how Horrible our schedule is!!!

Last 3 games may be our only real shots??

So what is the scenario????

I think we're better suited to beat bammer than Auburn.. I like our chances a lot better facing a Pro-style offense!

Well I think no doubt that Kentucky and Vanderbilt are going to become must wins from here on out. Auburn would probably be our next most favorable opportunity in terms of "winability". Bama would obviously be a HUGE undertaking to pull off an upset, and Mizzou as well with their emergence in the East. Right now, I would be satisfied with a win over Kentucky, and an annihilation of the 'Common Whores'. Anything after that is icing on the cake IMO. I don't know, maybe I am underestimating the potential here. You know, like Spurrier did.:)

I really like our chances winning the last 4. Alabama is not an automatic loss at this point. We have a chance. Winning the Bama game is very possible, but not probable.

I really think we beat Mizzo. Look at their schedule and wins. Wins against Murray State, Arkansas State, Indiana and even struggled with Toledo. I know Toledo is a decent team, but we're talking about a Mizzo team that is currently ranked 5th. They should have not struggled.

Two of their SEC wins came against two over rated and injury depleted Florida and Georgia teams. The other was against Vandy.

I see a real opportunity here for our Boys in Orange to knock off a top 10 team. With that said, I know we will play Bama tough and CBJ will have one helluva game plan.

Auburn is an interesting matchup. They run the ball and do it very well. I believe this plays in our favor, especially the way our secondary has matured and stepped up their game. Personally I would put 8 in the box and force Marshall to make a completion.

Also, how in the world do we play this schedule and have the 19th ranked strength of schedule? 7 of our 12 opponents are or have been ranked. Both Western Ky and South Alabama will make runs for the Sunbelt title. If this isn't the toughest schedule it surely deserves a top 5. By the way, Alabama plays only 3 ranked teams.

I believe we can beat Bama, but they are much deeper in talent than we are at this point. However this is the most tenacious, spirited and conditioned Tenn team that I have seen in many many years. As someone that has coached I will tell you now that I will take heart over talent any day. We just need to bring that heart to Bama Saturday and play to the Maxims.

yous guys be crazy

Easiest and most logical ? beat KY and Vandy

Auburn is our best chance in the next 3 - I say Auburn b/c it's 2 games down the road and we've been getting better every game AND it's at home

We should beat KY, but there are no easy wins here on out!! Rest of teams are pretty good and we will have to bring each week!!!!

I think auburn is better then mizzou. Auburn is a solid football team. They can run the damn ball.

Auburn is a damn good football team. I think mizzou is a better chance then auburn but you never know and once you throw neyland stadium into the mix, thats what you call a game changer.

No one has mentioned that we have not received any devastating injuries yet either; hopefully, we don't get any but that could really have a big impact on us like it has for FL & GA. I've been noticing there have been a lot of injuries on the teams we've been playing. Wonder if our conditioning has just been better or we've been extremely lucky in that area? Unless we have some big injuries I think our team will play all of the rest of our schedule tough. Not sure we can match Bama but think we have a good chance against the rest. No one else has been able to touch Bama either.

Agreed. The Barners really put it on Johnny Football and the Ags the other night. Everyone who was marking them as a W before the season began due to Chizik's massive incompetence apparently forgot they won a national championship just 3 years ago and the talent level on their roster is still pretty great.

Heck, go ahead and give Malzahn Chizik's NC at this point. With the way that team has performed this season, it's becoming pretty obvious he and Newton were the reason.

My point exactly, Malzahn is a hell of a coach, along with all that talent. You can tell those players play for him like ours do for CBJ

If butch wins 3 more games and 1 of those 3 is Missouri then he definitely gets sec coach of the year, if not nationally.

I'm not ready to concede Mizzou or Auburn at this point. I get that Auburn put up a lot of points on A&M, but they (A&M) have been over rated all year. That defense is just bad. I don't believe Mizzou is that much better than us, and with the slightest let down we could beat them. They will be facing a highly pi$$ed off SC team next week also, could take a little steam out of 'em. I wouldn't be shocked if we won 3 of the next five and finish with 7 wins.

The 'Zou absolutely had their way with Florida, my man. Their D-line is nasty and their O is like a better South Carolina, with the same kind of big, tall WRs we'll have in full bloom in a few years. It's gonna be rough.
