So how do we get there? Bold are remaining home games.

USC - W?
AL - L
Mizzou - L?
Auburn - W/L? now ranked
Vandy - W
KY Jelly - W

If Worley can improve some (PLEASE!) I think we beat KY and Mizzou, the sixth win is tall order though. Auburn and Vandy are home games soooo....??

If we had just beat GA, dangit! :banghead2:

Don't know about MIZZ now, they are lookin pretty good. Also Auburn??????

Don't know if SC is a "must win" but it is starting to look like it????

HELL no!!! We will NOT beat Mizz and vandy will likely beat us again. Right now only wins the rest of the year are possibly S Alabama and KY. 4-8 is our finish this yr. No bowl. Next yr we will be lucky to go bowling with a 6-6 record IF we get a decent QB!!

Missouri is a toss up at best for us. They're significantly better than last year.

As usual, the last 4 games will determine our bowl fate. @Mizzou; Auburn; Vandy; @Kentucky. Right now, it looks like 3 toss ups and 1 win.

Beat Mizzou but lose to Auburn?

If there's going to be one loss between those games, it will be against Missouri

IMO our success is totally tied to the QB. We really are fine at most positions, but the most integral and important position on a football team is the QB position and we just happen to have the worst QB play in the conference.

We need a Tyler Bray freshman season-like resurrection

Now that the all to predictable meltdown has subsided a bit, just wanted to speculate a little.

We need at least 6 wins to go bowling, correct? I think getting to a bowl, ANY BOWL, would be huge for the team, the staff, and of course recruiting.

So how do we get there?

Assuming we get our third win on saturday, we need at least 3 more.

GA - L
USC - L
AL - L
Mizzou - W
Auburn - L
Vandy - W
KY Jelly - W

Win the 3 you list then one or more of UGA, USCe, and Auburn. ALL are winnable games.

I know UGA has elite talent but they still have the Richt factor... which is almost as bad as the Miles factor. Lesser teams as long as the disparity isn't FCS vs FBS... always seem to have a shot. North Texas took them to the 4th qtr. The Clemson win doesn't look nearly as impressive after watching an undermanned NCSU team give them as much as they could handle.

USCe has as many depth problems as UT. I would not be totally surprised to see their season take a sharp down turn... except that they play a lame schedule comparatively.

I think Auburn is winnable but have also thought from the start that many underestimated their roster. Chizik could not coach but they got rid of him before that hurt recruiting too much. They have good players.

Winning 6 games seems like the obvious answer.

I think 7 is a very good possibility and well within the ability of the roster and coaching staff. AND I think it is very important to get that slightly better bowl bid. A bowl game around or after NYD may let some EE recruits participate in bowl practices. That could be HUGE since some of them are likely to start next fall.

UT might be able to steal a game after this week, but it'll be really tough.

Gotta beat UK and Vandy. Best chance after that is Mizzou but it'll be tough. Auburn is beatable too.

Could have 4 wins, could have 7. Lots of things could occur. Hoping for the best though.

Mizzou will probably be 4-0 after this weekend, but look at that schedule. They're like the MS State team of last year. They haven't played anyone. They may be much better, but it's too early to tell.

I live in MO. I have a son that attends Mizzou. Pinkell is a fine coach... but people drastically overestimate the quality and depth of their roster. Theirs isn't much better than yours... if any.

They weren't good last year and ARE NOT significantly better this year.

Gross incompetence from the HC and DC gave Mizzou that game last year. It should have been a 30 pt laugher for UT based on talent.

As usual, the last 4 games will determine our bowl fate. @Mizzou; Auburn; Vandy; @Kentucky. Right now, it looks like 3 toss ups and 1 win.

Vandy is still Vandy. Last year was an easy schedule combined with a down UT program... nothing more.

Yes but which 6???

.

I said awhile a go in a form before the Oregon game that I thought it'd be an all out miracle if we won six games this year. The best chance in my eyes is to beat KY, auburn, and Vandy. Vandy is better then we are and I can't believe I'm saying that but facts are facts. I just think the seniors have to just be total pissed after the beating/embarrassment they took in Nashville last year. I think we beat Vandy, KY, S. Ala, WKY, Austin Pee, and lose heartbreakers to Aurburn and Mizzo. No bowling right now unless Worley and the WR greatly improve in the next month.

Call me crazy, but i think we are better than Mizz, Auburn, Vandy and Kentucky and i think we win those games and finish 7-5. I think this team is getting better each week, and the gauntlet that is our schedule will do nothing but make these guys even better, the key is keeping their heads on straight each week through some more tough games. The Mizz game will be key, we will likely be 3-5 headed into that game. A big win there and and i believe it provides the confidence and motivation needed to finish strong and get a bowl game. This is my hope.

Auburn sucks as much as we do. Could be a win as well.

same scenario that has been there since end of last season. Win 3 of 4 in November to get to 6-6

Spot on. I really think the last 4 games are winnable.

If this team shows improvement throughout the year (and we should see that if CBJ is going to work out), bowl eligibility should happen.
