OK so how do we get to bowl from here??

PREACH IT, MY BROTHER!!!! HALLELUJAH, AMEN, and PRAISE ROBERT NEYLAND!!!

I totally love you right now. In a total bro way. Not in the way where I wanna make out with you or anything. Unless you're a 6', 18-25 year old redhead with curly hair, liquid blue (or green) eyes and an amazing rack. Then, I'd get my butt kicked by Mrs. DeusEx.

Ha! Thanks, man! Just trying to separate those who bleed orange from those who are just plain bleeders.

Were going to have to upset SC or GA to get there. If we do ONE, and win either Mizzou
or Auburn. -
Vandy and KY are must haves!
Lose one of the last two, were going to the toilet bowl!

I think we lose to Ga, SC, AL, beat Vandy and KY, and split with AU, and Mizz. That is assuming we take care of business this weekend to put us at 6-6 and bowl eligible.

Loser mentality would be based on what's on the field which would be a realistic mentality. Your views are just delusional. There has been nothing positive to build off of.

Fulmer bled orange. See what happened to him.

Here's what happened to him as a result of bleeding orange:

Played football:
*All-Southeastern Conference honors at offensive guard.
* 30–5 record from 1969–1971 as a player.
* SEC championship with a 9–2 record in 1969.
* 11–1 and won the Sugar Bowl in 1970
* Liberty Bowl champs with a 10–2 record in 1971.

Got Paid Millions of Dollars to Coach:
*1974–1978 Wichita State (OL/LB)
*1979 Vanderbilt (assistant)
*1980–1988 Tennessee (OL)
*1989–1992 Tennessee (OC/OL)
*1992–2008 Tennessee Head Coach

Won:
*152 regular season games
*8 bowl games
*6 SEC East Championships
*2 Sec Championships
*1 National Championship

Awarded:
*AFCA Coach of the Year (1998)
*Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year (1998)
*George Munger Award (1998)
*Home Depot Coach of the Year Award (1998)
*Sporting News College Football COY (1998)
*SEC Coach of the Year (1998)

After all that misery, the poor man was inducted in the College Football Hall of Fame.

What a terrible plight to endure, and all because he simply bled orange. When you explain it like that, I can see why so many on this board are bitter.

We upset the Ball Coach this season.
2 weeks to prepare and they take us lightly.
Tiny improves on his domination of Clowney from last season.
Record sacks and hurries by our defense.

We should win last four games. Our online as underachieving as they have been thus far should carry those games and passing game should improve enough

Vandy and UK are wins, IMO. Vandy has taken a big step back from last year and they'll be beat to hell after a 3 game gauntlet of UGA, A&M, and UF.

And UK just sucks this year and will probably have no crowd support by late November, despite the game being in Lexington.

Mizzou, Auburn, and USC are all winnable games, but it will probably take a little luck to get it done.

Agree! We have to win at least one of these 3 games, 2 of the 3 and Butch is instant coach of the year!

.

Vandy is well within our skill level ...but our game will most likely be a make or break game for their bowl hopes. I expect them to bring it . Could be a tough one

I think we can get 3 more wins out of our schedule .

Beat Vandy and UK; then Missouri with the inexperienced freshman QB they're now forced to play

Or just defend you home turf, and win home games against SC, Auburn, and Vanderbilt while beating Ky Jelly in Lexington. Mizzou is beatable too, and we owe after that debacle last season in Neyland. But, the bottom line just win at home and the Vols go bowling!

How about we beat South Carolina, Auburn, Missouri, Vanderbilt, and Kentucky?

Coming off the GA game, there was a lot of optimism that this was doable. The results of the bye week have tempered that a bit with MZ downing GA and SC spanking AK. Going to be a tough uphill climb to the finish line.

USCe -great chance at a W - let's say L for the sake of this discussion
Bama - would like to say win, but let's be realistic for a moment - L
Auby - again a 50/50 - Let's say L though
Mizzoy - once again 50/50 (depends on how their Frosh QB does) - let's say L
Vandy - W (they are circling the drain on D this year)
KY - W ( as in Whipping boys this year)

So that puts us at 5-7, which I think is where most of the ounduts are seeing us shake oiut.

Now, with that being said: I believe our best shots are going to be USC (because of their inconsistency), Mizzou (because of their star being out), and Auby (because I don;t think they have the horses to play "big boy ball" yet)...one W out of those 3 and we go bowling...not an impossible task at all.
