Ok this is outside the box a little

Look at the "Beattie" posts, look at the # of posts and likes, along with this absolute candidate for top 10 dumbest posts on VN of all time above (Berry a TB, who even uses TB these days???) (and that says something after the Gruden wackjobs were unleashed) and it doesn't take much to figure out good ol' Beattie is nothing but your very average troll doing what trolls do.

I concur

Two of the running backs are coming off injuries. Evan was a slash player. I don't know why this ruffled so many feathers. My point is that he will be an impact player, we could use him with the ball on his hands, he is better than the rating services have said.

And both those running backs are healthy again. We don't need running back help.

We do need their speed on defense. I'm not the least bit miffed by this, I'm bringing up a counter argument.

No they're not. Everybody knows it takes two years to successfully come back from acl surgery. Paulk will likely redshirt. As for Hurd, it all remains to be seen.

Paulk himself said he was running again. He's not 100%, but he's definitely ahead of schedule. The poster on here that's close to Hurd's family said he's fully healthy.

Paulk was a RS, no matter what. Hurd will be playing behind Lane.

Berrys will be on D.

Thank you. Some of these pyscho analysts have a hard time thinking outside the box. To them recruiting rankings are be all end all.

Evan said he wanted to play WR, but also mentioned that the coaches wanted him in the secondary. These are from quotes a long time ago.

The defense needs help.

It's not "thinking outside the box." It's just not likely.

But I believe Evan Berry will get a look at tb. I believe that he will be the best of this incoming crop of freshman. I Also believe Moseley is way under rated and will indeed start opposite cam sutton at cb. Evan Berry is going to make a huge impact as will mosely. Those two along with Hurd and Malone will make us better.:good!:

Way to step out on the limb there with the Moseley comment. Thanks Tips.

I use TB. When Shirley walks by, I often tell her to bring that tail back here. :)

Ok two things, only one of them is coming off an ACL surgery. Two I have had ACL surgery, came back and played soccer, much more cutting and stop and go (which is what the ACL does-but I am sure being an expert you already knew this) and was actually faster due to rehab 8 months after. While I am all for the Berry's doing as much as we can get them to do we are fine at RB, now put whichever one was a QB at QB and the other at slot and watch Neyland tear itself apart after a touchdown from that duo.

My son (an ER resident) has been in orthopedic surgery as an observer during several ACLs. They're pretty complicated, removind the real tissue, drilling a hole through the shinbone for the replacement tendon material and attaching, etc. All through the arthroscopic slits no bigger than a quarter. I'll just say, I'm glad for you that you rehabilitated so well. There are those who never get "it all" back no matter how well the procedure or rehab went. But having 80 to 90% is a dang sight better than nothing.

Point is, with these athletes who've had ACL surgery, some will not get back to 100% and you never know which ones will.

I like this idea. If we move Berry to RB, then we can finally move Hurd to DE and Derek Barnett to TE.

Of course, Barnett to TE would bury Dobbs on the depth chart...

And we need that big league speed in the defensive backfield. Desperately! That is what has been killing us the past couple of years.

Exactly. No doubt we have a lot of weapons to chose from and grow on offense now. What scares me is our Defensive playmakers and our offensive line. Cant see how the Berrys wouldnt be placed in our biggest gaping hole.

Wow! How did such a positive thing become so negative? What I take from this post and the highlights that Haphazard Harm posted (thanks) is that Evan Berry is going to be fun to watch when he picks the ball off or scoops up a fumble. There's virtually zero chance he'll get any reps at RB (or TB, if you prefer) this season, but he has four years of eligibility. It's nice to know that if some crazy combination of lingering injuries, new injuries, transfers, suspensions, and busts puts us in need of a RB during that period of time, we have a viable option on the roster.

Agreed, but I guess the sunshine pumper in me doesn't want to consider the bad without word that there is something bad to be worried about. And yes I was lucky my doctor was Dr. Thomas Brown, who is/was the surgeon for Tennessee Titans, so I got good care (and thankfully it was on my high schools dime too -$23,000 is a bit steep) I would be willing to bet that these guys are getting similar treatment, I hope that anybody undergoing any surgery gets the same level of care as I did. On a side note, the physical therapists were a couple of lovely ladies, which certainly made the experience more enjoyable. :good!:

This is the post of the Memorial Day Weekend. Tied all the loose ends together. Well done kind sir.

I thought I set that one up pretty well for somebody

...and his twin brother Evan :p
