I give the actual class a B+, brought down only by a weak DT class.

I give Dooley an A+ for effort. He had to get to know each recruit within two weeks, convince others, convince those here to stay, all without a full compliment of coaching staff. Quite impressive.

On it's own I'll give the class a B.

Considering the circumstances Dooley faced I'd grade it out an A-

Overall Average B+ only because I wish we could have gotten some more help on the lines

......Class is not done yet!

I expect Glass to sign later today! Maybe some other 3* or 2* players to fill voids! We can sign up to 30 and only have 25!

Along with the others, I give it about a B. Copeland leaving hurt more than Ambles or Stanley IMO. We did a more than fair enough job in getting some OL help and the WR's are off the charts in improvements over what we have now. DT, not good at all and DE were ok.

All in all, thank goodness for the EE's or else it might have been really really ugly.

I give Dooley an A, would give him an A+ if he signed another quality DT.

The overall 2010 class combined is a B+. its solid, and our talent pool will definately grow with this class.

B-.

Good class, some elite players, a couple of reaches in need areas. Great WR pulls, but on a team with unproven QBs, a weak OL, and a coach that has admitted he is 'run-first'.

So, decent, considering the situation. But professors don't care about your personal extenuating circumstances. So, taken objectively, better than average, but still a bit lacking.

I was worried about O lineman. Having James and Stone commit was big. Possibly Glass and that would be great. I think the O line will be better than people think next year. I would give the class a solid B+.

CDD did an outstanding job holding this class together. We won't know the final grade of this class for a few years though. With all his effort, I am still under-whelmed with not filling our needs. I don't blame that on CDD though. That blame lies with Kiffin. The real test is not this year, because Kiffin/Orgeron got these players to actually come to Tennessee for a visit, which was Fulmer's biggest problem. Now......can CDD get these same type players to visit next year? IF, and that's a big if, he can, then we have us a coach. We need to finish in the top two or three in the conference to compete for a championship. As it stands now, we are sitting at 6th in the conference........how are you going to challenge UF, LSU, ALA, and now AUB, and maybe UGA if we don't "out recruit" them?

Any other year I would grade a B to B-. With everything that has happened, not even having a full staff, I gotta go A to A-. If we had a couple more OL or DT, I would deinately say A+!!!

Agree completely on all points. If we had landed Robinson and kept Copeland I would have given him an A.

When the whole K going to USC occurred, I thought it was reasonable to assume that recruiting class was definitely going to be a casualty of that event. Given the circumstances, Dooley has overachieved with very little time to come up to speed on our recruiting while trying to assemble a staff. It is nothing short of miraculous the recruits he closed on that were not on our board (Rogers, Nance and Hunter) or weren't interested in the old staff (Stone). I hated losing Copeland and wished we could have picked up a DT or two.

If Dooley can coach as well as he can manage a crisis, we should be in good shape. I give him an A for what he has been able to accomplish in such a short time. I'll give the class an A- which still should be a top 10.
