OK... where are the "no talent" morons?

Yeah, you are being called out.

This team was a few questionable calls and a mistake short of beating the #6 team in the country. Worley played very well. The receivers played well. Neal played great and physical. The D held UGA to fewer yards and points than LSU.

It was a very good coaching effort... but you don't do that without some talent.

You're usually a good poster, pretty smart guy. This thread is stupid.

You are right. I apologize for being so blunt. It is just some penned up aggravation with some of the negative nancys here who refuse to see the talent this team DOES have. UT has played with the two most talented teams in the East now. Could have won AT UF... and maybe even should have won today.

That's correct. And I have never argued that. Consistently I have argued that this team if well coached should win 6 based on talent and could win 7 if well coached.

Sorry if it sounds that way. Again, apologize for the overreaction. Just absolutely sick of some of the folks around here who act as if UT's roster was borrowed from UTC.

I appreciate the sensibly kind response, OP. :hi:

Georgia not having 2 key receivers and 2 star RBs sure did equalize the talent. You can claim that's just an excuse, but it doesn't make it not true.

Yea, we are just 4 players short of being the # 6 team in the country, give me a break, yea they lost some players, but we had a little something to do with that. we outplayed them, Period>

Id think having the best RB in the nation is more important than a back up slot reciever.

And best kick returner... and both back up DT's including the DT playing the best... and a good back up RB.

Gurley being out was big for them. But when things happen like that in reverse... guys like you are quick to jump in with "its part of the game"... well, it is part of the game. UT had valuable players out as did UGA.

Oh I actually forgot a few... Gordon quit. Williams and R Jones out also. Any of those guys might have helped.

No where near the Georgia team that played last week. You really are ignorant. You probably think Georgia State is a Top 10 team just because they have 'Georgia' in their name...

Injuries are part of it...we don't have Maggitt or DY and couple others of ours...this team was supposed to kill us...we played physical SEC football and Marshall couldn't handle it...it was a clean hit, due to the targeting rule...you can't cherry pick the competition c we played them hard...oh they only beat us by 3, they were not same team they were hurt, they had a letdown...STFU and go cheer for them douchebag

Freak, what makes certain "fans" say oh I knew we would lose or keep saying its over now? So we call them out and they call us dumb, well you know the rest! I'm sick of it.

I know what you are saying I'm just trying to determine the point, decide whether or not I agree, and figure out who the morons are.

To me, today was about coaching and effort. And no point did the thought run through my mind, "yeah, we are as talented as UGA."

And I'm just as frustrated as everyone else.

I apologize for the "moron" part... but not for calling out those who for MONTHS have been calling guys like me that and worse for saying the team has holes but is not devoid of talent.

Nah, I honestly don't have a problem with anything you said.

Speak as you will.

If you don't mind... change the "morons" in the title to something else.

I sincerely apologize. The emotions of losing that way and an impulse to say "I told you so" got the better of me.

No offense 18... but every single post you put on here drips with "I told you so".....

Marshall couldn't handle it? You mean a stronger player could have taken a direct shot to the outside part of his knee and come out unscathed?

Wasn't it 17-3 before Georgia players starting dropping?

Yes, but that's why we play 2 halves or 4 quarters...we're we supposed to say...oh sorry, your guys got hurt, we have to quit...no...we play the FULL GAME

Ill give you the defensive injuries and Lane being out but im not as high on young as most are. Not like he would have been returning any touchbacks back anyways. Give me Pig all day over Young.

After taking out their best players, we were closer to their talent level, but not on it. Don't try and call out people because injuries took their toll on the visiting team. It took almost a perfect half of football, coupled with those injuries, just to get us a chance to win.

Finally somebody else comes along and speaks the truth.

Granted, they had no injuries on defense and Tennessee's offense looked pretty good. So I guess you could say there was improvement there.

But they were completely decimated at the skill positions on offense, except for Murray. And they still won.

Who is it that said we have none? We have some all-sec players and seniors on the roster. But overall, with our youth and holes, I wouldn't consider this a talented SEC team. We are getting better though, I believe.

And we had plenty of defensive injuries or suspensions...Maggitt and Couch...2 big players for us

Honestly they're probably aren't any morons. 5 or more years of being sub par will mess with you mentally. In big time college football a lot of things will happen and the best of games are unpredictable.

I will say...we are no where near as talented in depth...starters is close...depth, no way

Don't tell that to Vandy.

They made excuses all game about how injured Georgia was. As if Georgia didn't have their starters for a lot of the game before our guys unintentionally injured them. But even then... they have back ups that are as talented as some of our starters.

Tennessee's played without Maggitt all year and Couch for several games. That's quite a bit different then having 3 guys all suffer serious knee injuries during one game.
