Mallett definitely choked late. But some of that had to do with the fact that Bama started hitting him when he had stayed clean in the 1st half.
Also, GMac two interceptions were a bad decision and a poor throw, both of which could have been scores had he not messed up. Bama should have had at least 10 more points in the first half, and yet they were able to dig deep and find a way to win.
You can put it all on Mallett, but that wouldn't been 100% true.
Oh, you're right. I forgot that Mallett's interceptions happened completely in a vacuum, and that he and the defensive back were the only people on the field.
I also went and watched the replay, and it was totally Ryan Mallett that couldn't tackle Ingram.

good point. Ingram killing it was the reason AL scored so many points against one of the worst defenses in the conference.
Frankly, if Childs doesn't injure an ankle, it's a different ballgame. Him losing his effectiveness let you guys play a defense you could manage. He's Mallett's favorite target, even with Williams seeing 900 balls. Qb without security blanket is a problem.
Picking yourself off the turf can have an adverse effect on your sense of security.
Common knowledge around these parts, if you put pressure on slim, he will spray it. We did and he did. What's easy in the first three quarters can feel much different in the one that matters most.
Sounds like someone, emotionally, got left on the short end of the score.
