Oklahoma

Obviously, OK will be a much bigger challenge. If we play a turnover free game, continue to play solid defense and have Worley continue to throw the ball as well as he has, we can pull an upset. No doubt about it. It will be a very competitive game. GBO

It will not be a competitive game. I watch every Tennessee game, and I watch every Oklahoma game twice. Tennessee will not score more than 10 points on offense, and may have negative yards rushing, if they cannot get more than 3.5 yards per carry versus ASU.

The only way this it will not be a complete embarrassment for UT is if OU screws up a lot on special teams or TK has a horrifyingly bad game as OU's QB. I wish it were closer, and think it will be next year, but this game next week is going to be over in the first half.

Tennessee needs to throw short passes, keep the clock moving, and hope no key players get injured.

Prolly gonna get hammered.

Probably. Just keeping it real. I really like UT, but after living here a few years, I have come to realize UT fans don't like to hear much reality before seasons or games. Willing to take the punches this week.

Gonna get raped at Oklahoma next week. Anyone who can't see that ain't exactly keepin it real as the kids say. Not sure how Tulsa stacks up to Arky St, but Oklahoma toyed with Tulsa while we looked less than stellar today vs ASU. They ran for 261, threw for 319, scored 56 while only giving up 7.... clearly called off the dogs early.

We're moving in the right direction, just not nearly there yet. If we were going to Oklahoma in 2016 I'd invite the competition. In 2014, not so much.

I'm only wanting to see improvement. As long as we aren't mud stompped like Tusla was today, I see it as a positive.. it means we got better.

We've obviously already lost. Why even go? It's unlikely, but not impossible. Let's not give up before the first snap. Geeze.

Well we run out of the same formation just about every time. We're not exactly making it hard on teams to see what's coming. We need to get a little more creative with our schemes there..

I'd like to see us use a power running game type of gameplan. Get two tight ends back there to help block and try a time of possession type of ballgame in Norman. Rotate 3 backs in this one.

We have absolutely no chance against Oklahoma! This game will get real ugly real fast. Their OL & DL compared to ours is like night & day. Oklahoma will be playing 2nd & 3rd stringers by the late 3rd quarter if not Sooner!

We won' be able to stop them & if we're lucky we might get a few points. It WILL NOT be pretty! I would be surprised if we made this game any closer than 25-30 points for Oklahoma! I'm not putting in my exact score prediction until the pick 'em thread gets started but let me just say it won't be close.

the VOLS may very well lose next week....

But...they just beat two teams who won 8+ games and their bowl game last year

let that sink in....

it is no easy task to do what USU or ASU did...irregardless of the conference. Every other team they played tried to accomplish the same feat. They may not be the same teams this year, but that is for time to tell.

Both teams are solid and would challenge other SEC teams offensively.

Our O is different story...there is much room for growth on the O line but the talent is there.

I love the intensity and speed with this team. I want to see them compete and play hard for 60 minutes...never giving up!

let these men play the game and put some faith in what they can and will do!

UT had no chance against USCe last year.

Though I'm not betting on a win, I'll never write a game off before it is even played.

I hope we play as scrappy and hard-nosed against Oklahoma as Ark. St. did against us. If we do we'll be OK.

Oklahoma & USC are two totally different stories. Oklahoma this season is way better than the South Carolina team we beat last season. I mean wayyyyyyyyyy better too!

At this point I think we're going to lose by 50. So on the bright side, it can only surprise me for the better lol.

Did we play hurry up today on offense? I say slow it down, make first downs, give the defense as much rest as possible. I wouldn't run hurry up; be interesting to see what Jones decides.

With the O-line where it is, 3 and out with no one hurt will be a good series next week...and even though our defense is much improved, all that field time is going to wear them out, and Oklahoma will have plenty of opportunities run the score up at will by the end of the 4th.
