Truthfully…..he is not a lead-off hitter. He just gets the hit parade rolling. There is not an “out” in that line-up.

We have tried him as the 3 hole and cleanup hitter in the past and for whatever reason he thrives in the lead off role. 9 times out of 10 the pitcher is going to throw a fastball in the strike zone with the first batter to get a rhythm going and he just tees off on them.

He is Mookie but more athletic both strive as leadoff hitters!

Cohen worries me. While he is willing to spend money, “fantasy” sports rarely work out. Instead of throwing crazy money at Verlander, why not go after 2 really good, young arms?

Man Ohtani is fun to watch, but at what cost? If Shohei AND Trout can’t get it done, what good is he going to be on a team that can’t afford anyone else? Unless an owner can get creative and offer him something “off the books” like part ownership or stake in another company, I don’t know that I want my team(s) mortgaging the future for one guy...even though that one guy is a once a century talent.
