I played at a certain HS ( a long time ago) and the backstop was very close to the catcher/umpire. Late in the afternoon, when we played, the sun would position to provide a perfect shadow of the catchers signals to the pitcher. We would relay them to the batter and boom - boom. Fun times. That HS no longer has that opportunity as the configuration has totally changed.
