It looks like to me we can safely sit at 16 teams in a position of power.

Mercy! What happened to the PAC 12? They had problems, but I don’t think these moves really help. Colorado vs. Oklahoma St. or Oregon at home vs. Ohio State. Sit tight Sankey, sit tight.

I suppose they'll rig the scheduling to avoid such things, but I would like to see USC at Michigan and at Wisconsin in the snow.

Clemson and Florida State seem to want to join our league, but I hate the thought of it. I wouldn't mind adding UNC and UVA (flagship universities in two new contiguous states). But the numbers seem to work better at 16. Haven't thought the whole thing through.

I don't know the baseball side so well, but UVA would add one CWS in the last 15 years. (The only ACC title.)

Yeah, there’s potential for some Rose Bowl type games, but now they are in the regular season. I suspect the Rose Bowl folks hate every second of this. UCLA at Minnesota. Should be fun.

Short of going out and getting ND and Stanford for football and academics, maybe UNC, Duke, Va Tech…aside from ND, I don’t know if they bring anything football wise, that’s the straw that stirs…honestly, not really sure the B10 or B12 gain much in this move, we’ll see.

I don’t either, that was probably a poor example on my part.
My gripe is that consistency in college football is gone. It is now ruled by chaos, greed, money and has been corporatized.
Players transfer in and out of schools like it’s nothing, schools are jumping conferences daily. And do t think that’s going to change. As soon as the SEC offers USC more money, USC will Sue their way out of the BIG10.
We are not too far away from having corporate logos slapped next to the power T on the helmets.
Do we even know what the Sugar, Cotton, Peach bowls are even called now?
We now have a mega conference playoff that will continue to expand, simply because the guy that finished 2nd, was no longer satisfied with being able to argue that their team should’ve, could’ve, would’ve, beaten the champ, like we did in the old days. Now we have to include everyone and give everyone a participation trophy.
The point of my old man rant is this...
I love college football and I really enjoy pro football, I just enjoyed them more when they were separate and different, not the same.

I agree the atmosphere of college football was so much different from professional,now it's the same. For the paying players it is what it is but the college game has gone to free agency as in pro ball.

It has and I feel like we changed everything just for the sake of change.
We flipped the game upside down and at a very rapid pace.
Was the old way really so bad?
I get evolving and changing but man, this snowball starting growing at a very rapid pace and I don’t think we’re anywhere near the end.
It’s like it’s gotten out of control so fast, that the powers that be don’t know how to stop it other than trying to one up the last move.

Now do SEC vs. the world… I’m not exactly sure how he’s counting “since 2007,” but first grade math tells me 28 is more than half of the total.

Rose Bowl should just be the Big 10 championship game. Big 10 East vs. Big 10 West.
