I had a gift card this time so it was free for my son and myself.

Back in 2012, when I'd go to the Matinee, tickets were selling at $5.00 from noon til 5 PM.
After prices went up, I started to wait & buy the movie when it came out on blu-ray.
I have a BIG collection of blu-ray movies now that I don't watch.

I live in Georgia, went out in my VOLS shirt today and people commenting on the baseball loss. When has college baseball ever been this popular? College baseball world would have loved for that team to make it to Omaha. They would have filled the place to overflowing for the chance to see our snarky team, and try to beat us.

That damn autocorrect predictive typing got me! It’s been changing words in my text messages from “sit” to “hit” and “tall” to “ball”. You can tell it’s baseball season whenever it starts doing that

Before I post anything ... I have to go back & proof-read all that I've typed out.

That’s one weird thing about living here in Clearwater Florida, you would think that when it gets super hot in Tennessee it would be worse here.
Rarely gets above 90 here.

Water moderates temperatures. Bet it gets humid there. Are you lucky enough to get the breezes off the Gulf?

Looking at the CWS bracket I don't know if anyone else has thought about it, but if this were 2025, 6 of the 8 teams would be from the SEC. The margin for error in this league is only going to get smaller.

This is more for the people that refer to opposing pitchers as throwing junk. And all of Tennessee's pitchers as fantastic.

The only thing I will add to this video is that a pitcher can make a 2 seam fastball move in either direction, just by putting more pressure on the right or left seam.
When my son first started pitching, he had two coaches that played in the MLB (Yankees and Braves). They would not teach the kids how to throw a curve to protect their arms, just how to make a 2 seamer dance with pressure. When the batters are seeing breaking balls for the first time, it doesn't take much movement to make them swing and miss.

When my son was young, once a week during practice we played Coaches and Dads against the boys. Dads had to bat left handed. The coaches son was full time pitcher. He would throw a nasty knuckle ball. The first time I saw it I did a double take that could have been called two strikes. He almost fell off the mound laughing so hard.

Oh man I loved when kids tried to throw a knuckle ball. Idk what it was but the no spinning of the ball made me pick it up very well. I preferred a knuckle ball over a nasty hook.
