It’s complicated. While I agree, that dude has a few Cy Young awards, a few no hitters, and 3,905 Ks. If nothing else, the slack on the leash has been removed. Prolly a good thing for the team to get that out of the way before the postseason.

I would have no issues with it 5 years ago but he is now 41 years old. If you are the manager you have to have enough balls and tell him “listen, I love you and you did a great job getting us here but we need you for the postseason and we’re going to let the bullpen handle it from here.”
