I would expect Dylan Loy to get a lot of innings either today or tomorrow. He only pitched 1.1 innings combined Friday and Sunday.
Once he’s stretched out, I expect to see Dylan Loy a lot on the weekends opposite Snead as a high leverage multiple innings southpaw.

Current bracket projection, according to ESPN. I love getting the first two rounds in Lexington but we would be forced to play the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 in San Francisco…

Nothing would make my heart swell with pride, more than seeing that turd box Rupp arena turned orange!

I’m LOL’ing at North Carolina 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
They don't deserve a bid either....this is why I hate Super Conferences the little guy will get **** on come tournament time every year from here on out, more than ever before. Some will say "well play somebody" how about the Power Conference teams doing a home and home with a team like Drake, who won 1st round game in tournament last season. If Drake gets upset by a Bradley which is a pretty good team in conference tournament then Drake will have no **** st getting a bid. Fans rather see a crappy Oklahoma or North Carolina than a deserving Mid Major team.

He’s just dealing in statistics and probabilities.
Just like he was whenever we beat Kentucky a few years ago and was more deserving of a higher seed. And then Kentucky proceeded to prove their worth by losing to some peacocks in the first round. Stats and seeds don’t mean 💩 whenever that ball is tipped off.

I think most basketball fans would prefer the mid major teams. The selection committee doesn’t care though. Same thing happens in baseball. They give preferential treatment to all those SEC teams finishing multiple games under .500 in conference. Florida should have never even sniffed the NCAAT. I don’t care if they made a run.

Football mentality.
The mid Major is what makes the tourney the tourney.

No, but they’re worth millions when you’re in the business of prognosticating.

He more than likely gets fed information from the selection committee to put on ESPN. No way the worldwide leader in sports is being kept in the dark on those decisions. They want to drum up as many viewers as possible and putting it on ESPN is the easiest way to do that.

I and another individual in another forum had a discussion yesterday and the individual said that the Big East Conference in a Mid Major. My reply was well that's even worse for the Power 5 conferences because the last 2 National Championships has been won by a Mid Major team...
I disagree. I view the Big East as a power basketball school. They always have great teams in the tournament.

I miss old school Big East basketball!
It was legit when I was a kid.
Patrick Ewing, Chris Mullin, Sleepy Floyd, Mark Jackson to Derrick Coleman, Alonzo Mourning, Mutombo...
That was some premier college basketball!

There was another individual say it was harder to win a Basketball National Championship than one in Baseball. I disagree, yes it may be double elimination in NCAA tournament in Baseball but that reason doesn't make it easier.
Pretty close but I will throw this out there...
What if you had to play your backup PG or your smallish backup big man, because you rolled with your all star PG or your stud center in game one.
That’s basically what college baseball coaches have to deal with.

Ok, I’ll chime in here with my 2c for the “have to be over .500 in conf play” advocates.

Other than Cinderella tourney winners (I support auto bids) don’t we all want to see the BEST 64 teams in the tourney? Best, most deserving, whatever you call it.

Work with me on an absurd hypothetical here. Math dictates that half of the teams in a conference will be over and half under 500. (On average, dumb stuff happen when 2 teams lose every game or whatnot). So, absurdity: every team in the NFC East would crush any NCAA team (yes, even the Giants.) They are now in the NCAA because why not. The Eagles are in the field of 12. So too the Skins (command strips or whatever). The Cowboys and Giants AREN’T among the top 12? Of course they are. They should be in with a losing record.

What a stupid argument you say. Sure. But SEC baseball is darn near that dominant compared to the rest of the NCAA. The 9th of 16 from the most dominant league shouldn’t be excluded because they are under 500. That’s an arbitrary, and irrelevant to the top 64, stat.

This is the difference between being a 1 or 2 seed for people who say it doesn’t matter.

By the way, have we ever been a 1-seed?
