Great movie! A few years after The Green Mile was released, I was fishing the Caney Fork River (where one of the infamous scenes from The Green Mile was filmed) out of a pontoon style float tube. It was propelled by oars and flippers attached to your wading boots. Thus, it’s a one-way trip when they are generating at the dam on Center Hill Lake. Long story short, I ended up hitch hiking back to my SUV with a farmer (and his dog) who happened to host the film crew for Green Mile at his farm. He told me that ”those Hollywood directors and actors were a different breed” and they gave him a VHS copy of the movie. He told me he had to turn it off due to the bad language. He was a character and his farm was a couple hundred acres and had been in his family for a couple of generations.Green Mile
