Ole Miss at Memphis

I know man. Some of our fans are not even giving the team credit for that win. We were down 24-3 , but since we came back they're all the sudden a ''bad'' Georgia team??

Lmao.

But if you remember before the game started they were saying we'd get hammered by UGA. You have to learn to read things with their agenda in mind.

Stoerner is widely known for fumbling the ball in a crucial*SEC*game at*Tennessee. The undefeated #10 Ranked Arkansas Razorbacks were leading top-ranked Tennessee 24-22 with 1:43 to play, the Razorbacks needed only to make a first down so they could run out the clock. On a second down naked bootleg play, Stoerner stumbled on the rollout after his center stepped on his foot, and dropped the ball; Tennessee's Billy Ratliff recovered. Several plays later,*Travis Henry*scored Tennessee's winning touchdown with 28 seconds left and preserved their national championship season with a 28-24 victory.

This is all completely irrelevant to the current discussion.

hope so with that strength of schedule

TN #8
Memphis #86
Still sux. Don't want Tiger High to start having success. Regardless of conference affiliation, they'll start to compete with us for in-state talent. Kids just want to win.

I was at the game. I know what happened. But bammer turned the ball over 5 TIMES and most were inside the red zone and tremendously lucky passes. One turnover by Arkansas outside the red zone where we had to go 42 yards to win is apples to oranges.

Kids aren't going to start flocking to Memphis anytime soon. No need to worry

I tell my Memphis friends to enjoy the ride. This is likely the last year, with Lynch a projected 1st rounder and with all the offers that Fuente will receive.

Where have you seen Lynch as a projected first rounder? I think he's a great QB, but I personally haven't seen his name on any mock drafts in the first round. I haven't even seen his name in the top three rounds. After three rounds I stopped looking.

Jared Goff and Connor Cook seem to be consensus first rounders in all the mock drafts I've looked at. Some even have Cardale Jones going late in the first round to Denver.

The self loathing about our team causes these folks to lose their minds. Logic and truth be damned.

The fact remains that we have trouble recruiting west TN, and another "winning" program in that area will make it that much harder.

We don't recruit west TN these days anyway. And kids like Richmond usually won't go to Memphis.

Christian Hackenberg is still considered a first round QB by most of the "draft experts"...ridiculous. Lynch is as good a QB as I've seen this year....actually, he's better than pretty much everybody I've seen. Has all the tools...great arm, sees the field great, can make all the throws, great size, very athletic, protects the ball. If he's not a first round pick I don't know what the hell is.

We won't lose any recruiting battles with Memphis. If UT and UM both want a kid, he's going to UT 99/100 times whether Memphis wins 2 or 10 games.

Fuente and Lynch will be gone after this year, Memphis will go back to being Memphis, and it'll all be a moot point.

Wish we had a WR like the Miller kid from Memphis. He'd be our best WR as soon as he stepped on campus.
