Ole Miss at Memphis

If Ole Miss can beat Bama, we can. I get Florida and Memphis are good but talk about pathetic performances

Anyone except Vanderbilt, South Carolina, and Missouri would probably beat Alabama this year if the tide spotted them 5-6 turnovers like they did for Ole Miss.

Memphis actually has a very good AD. Kelly won't go to Southern Cal. That leaves the other Harbaugh which I doubt he goes. So I would think USC but Memphis will not let him go easy. Fuente is their ticket to the Big 12.

No he's not. Their football record / football success isn't what's been keeping them out of past membership in a power 5 conference.

Every time ole miss running backs touched the ball they slipped and fell. They couldn't run the ball all day and it wouldn't surprise me if something naferious was going on thier from Memphis. That + too many injuries for ole miss. I don't like that Memphis coach at all. Too reckless. Too undisciplined. It will catch up to him eventually. Some how i feel vomitous and want a drink at the same time.

Ole Miss loses, so here come the conspiracy theories, IluvdoubleD's, huh?

Since we were talking about memphis, they are close to a lock f playoffs if they go 13-0 w games left at undefeated and ranked temple and houston. Crazy but legit scenario. Same could be said f temple...blowout win vs penn st already, and play nd at home in a couple wks with a similar chance at victory to tigers yday...maybe 7-10 point dog.

They might be the closest reasonable argument towards a "group of 5" getting in (without you know, some MAC or MWC team scheduling all their OOC games against teams ranked in the top 5 and beating them), and it would have immensely helped Memphis had Ole Miss not lost so badly to UF the week before and still been highly ranked. However, they still won't make it in though.

The playoff setup created makes it a terribly uphill battle for any of the group of 5 teams to gain a berth. (Though it was likely done as such on purpose.)

Great DL? Memphis couldn't get a pass rush against Cincinnati, letting a freshman throw for a ridiculous amount of yards.

I agree that they pass well. It would be a great game, but we would run up and down the field on them. Ole Miss is soft, and we are much more physical. Not even close.

They got into Ole Miss backfield the entire day

Because OM's OL is soft. We are much more physical. Like I said, part of Memphis' pass defense struggles has been because they couldn't get a pass rush.

As I stated, Memphis would pass on us, but we would move the ball rather well on them, too.
