It was also pouring down rain which helped them get a couple big turnovers late. We'll soon find out. One thing of importance to note regardless is that Ole Miss got them at home, whereas we have to play them on the road. A good pass rush has an advantage before the home crowd with the noise that we won't have. It makes a big difference sometimes.

Agree. People looking at sacks mostly, a glamor stat somewhat. Ole Miss is good at getting to the qb.Simple answer, no. Long answer. No. Common opponents, 3, 65 total points surrendered by them. 52 by us (2 home, 1 rd for them, 2 rd, 1 home for us). We are 5th in total D, they are 17th. They have given up 31, 29, 20 in games this season. We've not given up 20 in a game.
Ours didn’t look stellar last night. We made their running back look all-pro. Maybe just a sceme to give the little things and eat clock? Hope we get it fixedThat’s what the Georgia guy said on SEC Football Final last night. They are pretty good but I don’t believe for a minute they have a better defense than ours. Discuss.
I'm not sure it's a kryptonite thing as much as it's an aggressive defense thing. Our defense is an attacking defense. When you play that way there will be some games throughout the season where you'll get gashed. The trade off for this is the fear you put into QB's. The last 2 teams ran well but the last 2 QB's also looked rattled and 1 didn't finish the game. I think early in games we play the run way more honest. The moment we get a lead those dudes are hunting. The answer is yes. Prior to the Kentucky game our run defense was the best around, but we got away with the occasional wide open receiver (our zone leaves a bit to be desired) due to lousy qb play on the other side. Last two games our run defense has not been good. I'm worried that Kentucky found our kryptonite.
We’ll be fine. Coach Inge just needs to teach Telander to not block himself by running smack into a guard instead of filling the gap. Kid has a bright future, but lately he’s been playing like a faster version of Elijah Herring. The answer is yes.
