imo if our defense puts pressure on their qb, we win easily, If we have to blitz to do this we must do it, because if we give him time and try to play coverage he will light it up. He does very well when he has time to throw. Put the pressure on him and he is good for two picks. Our defense should silence those arrogant fks
Tennessee is the only the 5th SEC since 2000 to start the season to hold its first 9 opponents under 20 points to start the season. The other 4 teams won the national championship, 2003 LSU, 2011 Bama, 2012 Bama, 2021 UGA.That’s what the Georgia guy said on SEC Football Final last night. They are pretty good but I don’t believe for a minute they have a better defense than ours. Discuss.
Both in the Kentucky game and in the Miss State game, our defense had to account for the mobility of the opposing QB. That shouldn't be an issue with UGA unless they suddenly decide Beck isn't worth another few INTs and throw Rashada out there to mess with us.The answer is yes. Prior to the Kentucky game our run defense was the best around, but we got away with the occasional wide open receiver (our zone leaves a bit to be desired) due to lousy qb play on the other side. Last two games our run defense has not been good. I'm worried that Kentucky found our kryptonite.
Neither of the last 2 teams scored 20 so they were consistently moving the ball nowhere fast. 4.5 ypc ain't exactly elite rushing averages it just means you broke a coupleThat makes sense if we're giving up the occasional breakaway, but we're not. We've had two straight games of teams consistently moving the ball on the ground. Our two worst performances, both over 4.5 yards per carry.
