We need a good offensive show, say at least 35 pts. I think that will boost our confidence heading into Georgia.

Yes, that win last night is something to build on. Our team just earned a lot of confidence last night. That was a huge comeback and huge win. Look for that confidence to be displayed this Saturday.

Welcome to the board by the way.

Ole Miss could not have come along at a better time. This game (hopefully) give UT the excellent chance to solidify their offense and gain additional confidence going into the UGA game. Hopefully Clausen will build on last nights performance and keep this offense rolling. I want to see those recievers finally make some big plays down field. Should be a fun game to watch.

Thanks! Glad I found it! Gotta have someone to talk to around here. All my neighbirs are either Dawg or Auburn fans... and they give me a hard time because I fly my UT flag on my house and put up my 8ft. Smokey on game days!! :biggrin2:

Tennessee will dominate Ole Miss.

Tennessee 31  Ole Miss 14

Wow, you really think Ole Miss is capable of scoring 14 points against our defense? I'll say this much., if Ole Miss scores 14 points at least one of those TD's will come via speical teams or a UTK turnover deep in our own territory. UTK's defense might be the best in the country right now. I really think so. Nobody can compare to our 5 deep D-Line (taking into account the starters, and then back-up McBride). Our top 4 LB's are as good as anybody's in the country. Combine those two together, and throw in a vastly improved secondary. Wow!

ok ok,  Now that we all have had the whole night to celebrate the Victory,  what do you think about this game?

Ole Miss is another team with a bad secondary.
This game is going to depend on how well Clausen plays.
Should be much easier going then against LSU.

I have not seen one lick of film on Ole Miss. Does anybody know who they have as far as key players and what positions they play?

If we come in early with the same intensity as the second half with this never die attitude it should be no contest. Phil will be glad to put up 50 for his buddy Cutcliff.

i dont think we will be putting up 50 on anybody because to me our offense is still far from explosive. i think we still win against ole miss with no question but i think games like georgia, alabama, and notre dame will be the same type of low scoring defensive struggles.

Plus let me add this, the key in this game (the rest of our games)IMO is to protect the football, because the opp. has turned ALL our giveaways in pts so far this season,so protect the ball, and if for some reason that we do give it way don't let the opp. convert it into pts if we do that we'll be fine for Sat. and the rest of the season.

I bet we drop 50 on Ole Miss. I have a feeling clausen is going to go for 400 yards this week.

Here's to an injury free game. Hopefully we thrash them like the Texas A&M game. We be needin an offensive blowout.

yeah, my question is, does ainge get in any this game and in what situation(s)? will it be if clausen comes out horrible or only if we are in a blowout? if we are in a blowout, does ainge or cooter come in?

when we get a big lead i'd say ainge will get some reps. i think he has lost all confidence in his abilities though. now being a hometown boy, i'd like to see jimbob get some reps also.
