With that inbounds disaster. mizzou just threw our potential NCAA berth into the arms of Ole Miss.

You have got to be joking.

Could be, but they didn't steal anything.

Tennessee gave it away with their performance against Bama today.

Ole Miss played the last 10 minutes with a sense of urgency and was rewarded. Tennessee did not play with a sense of urgency today.

Man what a comeback by ole miss.. I can't stand them, but you gotta give them credit they fought like heck and won the game. Unless vandy or Alabama wins the sec it looks like only 3 sec teams make it in with ole miss, florida, and Missouri.

This is life on the NCAAT cut line. All it takes is one play anywhere in the country to knock us out.
Next year, we need to wrap up the bid in advance of the SECT quarterfinals.

On the bright side, there is an increasingly good chance that Calipari's team will also be left out.

We would have lost the play in game or first round anyways. Just saves some heart-ache down the road. Now can just have some brackets with no emotion attached.

ole miss did not steal our spot, we lost our spot when we lost today, all we had to do was win, simple, win and we were in, now we have to hope and pray

Losing twice to the Rebs doesn't help the cause if the Vols are left out of the big dance.

this'll be another year where its "Who got snubbed that should've been in" and we'll be a #1 seed in the NIT once more.

the NCAA tournament appearance would be much more valuable to the team

...also how far would you have realistically picked them to go?

Yeah but it would provide some experience for these guys. I mean, we'll be there next year right? I'd be beyond shocked if we don't dance next year.

As loaded as we'll be next year, I'm going to feel a little sketchy come tournament time because of our lack of experience there.

Just my opinion.

geez there could be like 5 SEC teams in the NIT...what's that say about the conference

CCM made a good point that the SEC has a lot of teams in the Top 100. The problem was that we were all in the bottom half of the Top 100.

I don't know what it takes to get & keep us motivated to play. Kinda seemed like we really didn't care whether we won or not out there...they always talk a good pregame & then go lay an egg in the tournament. Not sure how you drill Ky, beat a top 10 Fla & a good Mizzou team, then lose to a mediocre Ala....

I think we're in anyway. Jimmy Dykes said the same ("He wasn't convinced that TN is out with this loss").
