Ole miss just stole our spot

As long as Kentucky doesn't get in the tournament, then I won't be too upset.

If Kentucky or Bama if they lose today get in over us, I will puke. Both of their resumes are worse than ours...Ole Miss should probably get in over us at this point.

The only way Kentucky gets in the tournament is because of their name.

Talk about wtfing this morning.
Went to bed thinking Missouri was going to win the way they were playing.
Woke up and checked my s-curve site and Ole Miss was sitting at #L34 and Ky at #L37.
Hate to, but got to give it to Kennedy.

Same as you...had to work at 5, went to bed about 11 with Missouri in control. Woke up, check the phone and felt like I got punched in the gut.

You only saw a few in 5 of 23?
A couple of games we looked very good attacking the zone with cutters and ball reversal.
that was completely abandoned yesterday.
Look at golden's stats. The 3pt shot isn't his game.

As Golden goes, so goes this team. Yesterday he was lethargic and played horrible and we lost. He is the key to this team and when he plays poorly, we lose. We need a " real" point guard that can attack the zone and get other players involved on offense. It would also help if we had a pg that could play defense.

Idk if it's been mentioned, but...like first 8 minutes when we played pretty well golden had like 4 assists...then 1 assist in final 32 minutes, crazy.

Read that in the paper today. I guess assists are easy to come by when teammates are hitting shots. We started out 7-10 from the field and went frigid for the rest of the game.

Seemed like trae was getting into the lane early and then just stopped, I could be misremembering.

Bto, I was courtside and could see everybodys face clearly. Its not hard to tell when someone doesn't want the ball, and he didn't want it for 30+ minutes yesterday.
That's why this stings me so bad.

I don't get it, he just unsure of himself you think?

no idea. But he isn't a better ballhandler than he was his freshman year, and that has to be in his head. Then you have to question his mental toughness a little. The best go through rough stretches, but that's the mental aspect that separates talent. No reason to blow up the stat sheet and be vocal, then struggle a little and go in a shell. You have a team relying on you to lead them.
If the team sees him loafing, it's infectious, which is why I don't like KH on the floor.

How did Ole Miss steal our spot? They are in the conferences semis, have a better record, AND swept us. Don't be a homer.

Hahaha. That's such a horrible argument.

Vandy is also in the conference semis.
Georgia also swept us.
Southern also has a better record than us.

How did Tennessee steal our spot? They are a hotter team over the last 12 games, have fewer bad losses, more good wins, and had a tougher ooc schedule which the committee loves.

There...we have ALL FOUR over ole miss...geesh..you act like the three things you mention are the only criteria in the universe

I can't believe you just said that. Ole Miss has ALL THREE on us - not just one thing. Geeeezzz.....

No ****. You and the two idiots who liked your post clearly missed my point.

The 3 things you mentioned aren't anywhere near the top of the list as far as what matters to get a team into the tournament.

Head to head is one of the last criteria used.
How far they made it in the conference tournament is practically irrelevant. It's just more games. The committee doesn't care that they made it further than us.
It's easy to have a great overall record when you play a bunch of ****ty teams.

Yes. Thank you. It's like they forget that there are many different criteria used.

He started out strong, but then for most of the game it seemed like he was playing scared. People keep calling out his effort, but it seemed to me that he was just way too timid and wilted under the constant defensive pressure from UA.

I pulled his numbers against Bama last night, they're awful, I wonder if that affected him.

Ole Miss is in but I don't think were out. Were still in a battle with a few teams in other conferences for the final few spots. Maryland lost today making us first or second team out by Lunardi. Most of the others have us in and this place has us safely in.

I love how people say we are better "the last 12 games." Why 12? Because it makes us look good? How about the last 20? How about the whole season?
Use your heads, people. We were swept by UGa and Ole Miss. We lost 2 out of 3 to Bama. We lost to The Pig. That is not good. We'll be better next year, but we'll get killed if we go to the Dance this year.

The reason for last 10 (never heard last 12) is because the committee wants the product currently out there. If a team starts 20-0 but loses 10 straight, they shouldn't get in, they've digressed and are no longer a tourney team. This isn't some made up thing, it's been used for years, it's importance is what's up for debate.

As for getting killed in the dance...what do you think Lehigh and Norfolk State thought last year? Admitting defeat before even playing a game says a lot about someone's character.

kindof a silly question, regardless of your opinion on our tourney chances. They want to try and get the best teams in the tourney and a team that loses their last 8 or 10 in a row is obviously not one of the best teams at that time. Why weigh heavily on games from '12, when we are a quarter into '13
