Huh?
Name one OOC win in an opponent's stadium with Alabama. Penn State is the only road game you guys got. Every other major OOC game was at a Neutral Site usually closer to Alabama than the Opponent's state.
USC won @ Ohio State, @ Nebraska, @ Virginia Tech, @Auburn, etc.
The last time Alabama played a cross-country game, they lost.
That Nebraska team that SC beat finished 5-7. They also didn’t play Va Tech in Blacksburg, that game was at FedEx field in Washington.Alabama isn't that bad, SEC is just trash. Watch Oklahoma or Texas win the Conference next year.
Honestly, a lot of people say the National Titles from the SEC are fake and I am starting to see why. Alabama, for example, took advantage of a formula where they played 1 tough OOC game (usually in a neutral site near Alabama), 3 easy OOC games, a bad Tennessee program, 6 SEC West teams that they owned, and usually a bad SEC East team.
It was like a free walk to the Playoffs kind of like Georgia has this year. You don't have a lot of tough, high profile games like teams such as 2004 USC, 2001 Miami, 1995 Nebraska, etc. played in where they were traveling around the country beating teams in their home stadiums.
Take Pete Carroll's USC teams that went into Columbus, Ohio and beat Ohio State, won @ Nebraska when Nebraska was better, went and won at a good Virginia Tech, shut out a top ten Auburn team in 2003 23-0 at Auburn, etc.
You just don't have those cache of wins with Alabama. The last time they went to the West Coast was a loss.
We beat Texas in Austin last year.
The last time Bama played in the Pacific time zone that wasn't a bowl game, Mike Dubose was still the head coach.
That Nebraska team the SC beat finished 5-7. They also didn’t play Va Tech in Blacksburg, that game was at FedEx field in Washington.
Still traveling across country. Look at Tennessee in 2007 and 2008, Georgia against Colorado and Oklahoma State, etc. Usually teams struggle when they travel cross country.
Alabama (the way the system is) gets these teams to travel to or near them and doesn't return the favor. Gives them an advantage.
Exactly.
This is why when people talk about great college football teams, I never hear anyone mention any of the Saban Alabama teams.
Sure Saban had the best run but it was partly help by Alabama's trash OOC schedule every year. A program as elite as them should have been traveling around and should have been playing at least 2 Power 5 teams OOC.
How drunk are you?Still traveling across country. Look at Tennessee in 2007 and 2008, Georgia against Colorado and Oklahoma State, etc. Usually teams struggle when they travel cross country.
Alabama (the way the system is) gets these teams to travel to or near them and doesn't return the favor. Gives them an advantage.
Go back and read, it was literally pointed out to you.
