Best win: ole Miss -Ga; Tennessee -Ala. Tennessee winner cause Bama beat Ga AND committee themselves rate Alabama over Ga.

Losses: Ole Miss- @home vs Ky & @ LSU. Tennessee- @ Ark & @ Ga. Winner- Tennessee no home losses& Ark & Ga are better than Ky & LSU.

Something isn’t right with OM rated above Tennessee.

agree, no matter how you slice it, I see no case for Old Miss being ahead of Tenn by any metric.

Ole Miss blew out Georgia 10 days ago. We squeaked by Alabama a month ago. Recency bias and the way Georgia was beaten are both a factor.

It's the Ole "eye test", Ole Miss has turned in some really dominant performances against 8-2 Georgia and 7-3 South Carolina. Tennessee has been sort of riding the struggle bus in conference play even when we win. I'm not saying I agree with that line of thinking, I don't, but that's exactly what it is. We need style points these last 2 weeks. Especially against Vandy. UTEP's not really going to help.

Ole Miss played Ga after one of their biggest games, Florida and before a big home game vs Tennessee. We talk “sandwich” games & that certainly was one.

Not to mention our common opponent in Arkansas......
I get it!!! I am not against you here. I think if we finish out with only 2 losses we should be in, but you can't honestly say we are a better team RIGHT NOW than they are. We can't blaim it on refs.... or committees....or anyone. If we had beaten a TERRIBLE Arkansas team this wouldn't matter. All we can hope for is to win out at this point and see where the chips fall. I personally think if we win out we are still getting in, because there will be a couple more losses from teams ahead of us.

I would not call a game where we scored 24 second half points to win "squeaking by" the #7 team in the country

Can we put you on the CFP committee?

Like Fulmer used to say, they remember what you do in November.

As I remember, Fulmer always played Kentucky, Vandy, a homecoming bum or two, and Mississippi State in November.
Actually this saying originated with Majors, who for 15 years played Ole Miss, KY, and candy in November.

I understand OM over Vols for reasons above. Yes Bama beat UGA but OM throttled UGA like UGA handled TX…and the recency bias stuff. Think difference is their offense seems more complete where our passing game has not been stellar. Committee guy said how games are played goes into it too..,am sure the stretch is not scoring in first halves doesn’t help
