Ole Miss vs Vandy (merged)

Mason seems like a nice guy. If Vandy fans weren't so damn smugly delusional, I might actually feel bad for him.

For now though, I'm happy watching him return Vandy to the status quot.

Is it just me or does vandy's uniforms look like a really dark blue instead of black?

Vandymania is in full-melt down.

They believe that Franklin's recruits suck and that he only won because of the guys Bobby Johnson brought in. Many are completely refusing to believe that the switch to the 3-4 or that OC they brought in (or any of the mid-major coaches they have) have anything to do with it.

They might actually hate Franklin more than they do losing. :eek:lol:

I think it's just as much bad recruiting as it is having terrible coaches.

Franklin wasn't really beating the rest of the conference up recruiting.

The guy knows what to do, he's seen winning programs. He just doesn't know how to get it done. Here's a west guy that is totally out of place in the south. He isn't comfortable at all. Maybe he'll grow into it, but you can tell the guy is just uncomfortable.

You could say the exact same thing about Derek Dooley. I think Vandy is going to see similar or worse results. Some guys can coach a great defense (or some other specialty) but just can't be effective as a head coach. Ellis Johnson is a great example of that too.

There have been a couple gif worthy moments of him shaking his head and laughing after a play.

He's probably already given up. He can just coast for the rest of the season, and if he's exceptionally bad, he'll get fired and get a huge buyout. Then he can go back to being a DC somewhere and still make close to a $1 million/year.

I dont think the uniforms look too bad..but thats another bullet statement for the "good looking uniforms don't make you not suck" memo.

So did Vanderbilt replace their entire team with local high school kids? This is unreal compared to last year.
