On recent football events...

I must be missing something because everyone keeps implying that the only way to support the basketball team is to post in the basketball forum haha (how IDIOTIC is that?).

Silly Chris, you were referencing the football posts and how crazy they were and then you wanted more fans for basketball yet you weren't referring to us posting in the basketball forum? Bad job trolling.....

you came to the football forum to call posters names and imply more rational fans exist in the bball forum. That's absolutely ridiculous

Hahahaha "rational fans in the bball forum." Bringing the lulz today, PJ. I think I also used the term "absolutely ridiculous" in my argument.

What else you got for me?

You can support your team by watching games, talking with friends, wearing sport-specific apparel - none of which require living in Knoxville.

So how is watching a game, wearing a shirt, or talking a show of support, but posting on a basketball forum isn't?

I totally agree with your points but I need to know if that was intentional.

Oh yes, because of all the butthurtedness going around with the unhappy people.

(Yes, I should have mentioned that there are plenty of posters that I agree with, but from an outsider's perspective, seems like the CBJ hire was not received very well)

why would I give you anything more when you won't even respond to any of my points? This is simply a troll job and will likely be treated as such very soon

People, I'm not trolling! I'm saying I think Jones was a good hire, and I don't understand why people are so damn upset about Tee.

These are my 3 points of the thread:
1. Jones - good
2. Tee - get the hell over it
3. Watch some bball

We will start watching the BB team once Gruden is hired to replace Coach Martin next season (according to my source).

I wasn't too fond of ole butchy either and then he killed it in the PC. Anyone that gets asked about not being UTs first choice and then says he wasn't his wifes first choice either and it's worked out deserves a pat on the back!

An editorial we've already seen 30 different times. Scan more than the top threads, and you'll see that most here support CBJ, with the exception of a very vocal minority. Being unhappy with the hiring process and AD is something completely different.

Seriously. Agree with the guy or don't, but he doesn't even come close to the definition of "trolling" (at least not in this thread). Everybody chill.

Haha I heard that line a work the other night.

What did you ask me that I didn't answer? How exactly am I trolling?

you've made comments about the football forum in the past and now you bring it here to make fun of posters who comment on the coaching search. Of course should someone come in and do the same in the bball forum you would try to run them out.

...and if he would have said his wife wasn't his first choice instead, I would have given him a high five.

Eh, not a basketball fan, ill just hang out here with the rest of the psychos. Though im not a bball fan, i have went to several games with friends, and its neat, but its not Neyland on a Fall Saturday afternoon. I do enjoy baseball, and if it makes you feel any better, ive been to more basketball games than i have baseball games at UT.

In fairness, point #3 was original.

That's fair. Now that you say it, I was pretty much just going off the top layer.

yes sir! I laughed and thought "Man....Dooley aint this funny and Butch looks like he can crack some heads". I was sold......Tee is...whatever. I don't see the big deal. We didn't offer as much money as USC and he obviously likes his job. If anything, people should be happy he's got a job he likes.

Going to the games doesn't make you a fan. You have to talk about it, and wear shirts and stuff.
