On the GA Game

Pope is a monster. We'll need Simon to put some big hits on him when he comes across the middle.

Alright... 10 points was too few. 14. I think if UGA puts up any more than two TD's we're gonna have a very very tough game to pull out.

Nobody has said much about it but I think the only way we lose this game will be because of Special Teams or turnovers. The offense will either explode (in a good way) or do just enough to win.

How much complaining can you fit into a glass, when it is filling with wins?

C'mon guys. Every team struggles. Get over it.

Milo, I specifically remember having the 'conversation" on here with you concerning LSUs strength against the pass (and more specifically how there was NO WAY UT could hang with it), and now that we blistered it for 30 points, they were overrated. You should work for ESPN.

Everyone else...
We have a defense that 95% of college football would kill for. We have an offense that is SUPER talented, yet underperforming. You guys would complain and scream about the coaches' recruitment if we were untalented. Be glad we have the tools, because they WILL click and start performing. It could be a lot worse.

Again... 3-1. That's 3-- count 'em 3 out of 4 wins in a brutal scheduling year. Get on, or get off, but this is rediculous.

I don't think Georgia has that stellar of an offense either. The VOLS defense has the ability to take over a game.

All Clausen has to do is not make mistakes. He still put up 200+ yards last week and didn't turn the ball over.

I agree that the deep ball is important to stretch the Dawgs out, and Tenn. has the talent for big plays, but I don't think that is an absolute necessity to win this Saturday.

I think the VOLS can win with defense and ball control.

Nice post OrangeFrenz

I have said it before. There have been numerous occasions when our receivers have their man beat and yet RC just doesn't see them or is not able to hit them downfield. I keep hearing about the lack of arm strength but how often do you see qb's launch the ball eighty yards. Twentyfive to thirtyfive yards downfield on a slant and let the receiver do the rest. RC has what it takes to spread the D if he can just lock onto the open receiver downfield vs. the constant hot route.

Just like in Athens last year?

Not starting another QB controversy, and Rick has really stepped up and into a difficult role -- but he has GOT to see the downfield play for us to be effective offensively. There were at least 3-4 times last Saturday when there was a long open receiver that he completely either missed seeing or refused to throw to. One post pattern, in particular, I think 75% of the QB's in the country could hit 75% of the time. Hopefully, playing time will breed the confidence he needs to try the big hitter.

If Rick can lead the boys to victory in the next few games, the ND game will be a perfect game for EA to gain his confidence back, where he lost it. Of course if Clausen beats UGA and Bama, he would certainly start the ND game.

Ainge is toast VN. He is done. Rick is our man, all we have. Love it and that is it. Next year is Crompton, and the next is Jimmy Clausen. See ya EA, thanks for the effort.

Yes, preseason. Then Arizona State and Tennessee exposed LSU's pass defense. Preseason, quarterback play was LSU's only apparent weakness... If you try and pretend like you knew any better back then, you're a hypocrite. I only stated what I, and the vast majority of college football fans across the country felt at the time.

Man you have no clue

Ainge was the man for last year and I said it last year!

Clausen beat him out in the spring and in the fall and he has been the man for this year, despite the "he can't go long" crowd. Ainge has played scared all spring and all fall and during games. I've said since the spring Clausen was the better QB, so before you pop off again know what your talking about!
