One bad thing on Butch

Can you not see past the Oregon game? We can not run out offense like that all year. I'm talking about our offense period. All three games we've seen of it, not just one. How many time has Worley kept it all year? 2 times against Peay

YES! We want a QB that cannot complete basic passes getting hit when he runs the ball . Getting rattled and physically beat up should help his passing attack . We want him running too rather than a running back ...my god he is a cross between Mike Vick and Tim Tebow.

Given what I just said and getting beyond my own sarcasm ...I cannot figure out why Worley is on the field .

Maybe he is a gamer then. Not impressed at open practice.

Some players are exactly that.

The biggest issue with both Dobbs and Fergy is that both would benefit from the redshirt. The weight gain, strength and time watching and learning helps.

As to our current QB... part of Worley's problem is he's not playing like a gamer. If he did he'd be tossing more bullets and fewer floaters. He's too damn worried about making a mistake and that worry is likely what's caused 90 percent of his problems. He needs some swagger.

He may have a mild case of Crompton-itis.

Only bad thing is the cure is painful for all involved.

pig was injured, probably still is, and yes it would be much less productive.

No such thing as much less productive. Unless we just punted on first down instead of running three plays then punting. Wear they're offense down and then go for the jugular

Just when it seems the posts can't possibly get dumber, here ya' go.....

What's dumb about it? Who wouldn't have liked to see Dobbs try his hand at the read option for at least one series? Or Ferguson uncork one pass to a streaking receiver?

Is it dumb to be curious how our frosh qbs will do with the spotlight on? Seriously?

Must be from what everybody else has said. To me it's dumber to run a read option and the QB NEVER KEEP THE DAMN BALL!!!!!

Butch and the OC may be keeping the offense still somewhat vanilla because that is the only set of plays they feel comfortable and confident in the offense lining up and running correctly at this point in the season.Maybe Dooley was trying to do too much with the personnel we had and they stayed confused or just wasnt given time to absorb the formations and substitutions. I dont care who plays quarterback really as long as they make good decisions, and also i feel to be a contender in this day and time he needs to be able to audible at the line. For instance in one play Saturday the DE or OLB came up to the line with nobody to block him and Worley had the ball snapped anyway when he should have at least motioned for someone to pick him up if not call time out or maybe call a hot route at the line to throw at the spot in the field the player had vacated. But who knows, I'm just a fan with big expectations.

and if Worley had or does start to click mid way through the season like Crompton did in 09 everyone would cry about Butch wasting a year of Dobb's eligibility so he could throw a pass against APSU.

I'll buy a lot of things but Worley going Crompton on us is not one. Crompdaddy was excellent on the roll out. Worley is excellent on the roll over.

You are forgetting how truly awful Crompton was in 2008 and the first few games of 2009.

I remember that crappy Auburn game. I also know even at his worst Crompton looked more competent that Worley.

IMO it's
Later Cromp>Bray>Early Cromp>Simms>Worley

No way i put Worley behind early Cromp and Simms even. It's too early for that. JMO please dont get irate!

That's fair. I think we're only debating losing QB situations anyway. At that point does it matter? I'll just be happy if we admit we have a problem. I ranked later Crompton ahead of Bray because he at least gave us our last meaningful SEC win.

The only good thing about Worley gettin another start is we get to see if Palardy continues to get his punts to turn over on numerous occassions.

This has been said a million times, but I am going go out on a limb and say that the freshmen simply aren't ready yet, mentally and physically. There is more to being a QB than just throwing the ball. He pulled Worley at halftime of the AP game, and Peterman did nothing. What more do you want? I think CBJ has been to this rodeo before, so I think he knows what he is doing.

The freshman aren't ready and worley damn sure not ready! Now what?

I put Worley ahead of Early Cromp and Simms because so far he has been a little better at protecting the football and not throwing it right to the defense under the least little direst.

how is Pig playing QB gonna wear down the other teams offense? I'm not sure why Worley is still starting, but there has to be a reason for it.

People need to understand CBJ only priority this year is to make it to a bowl game if possible. It's a throw away year. Yes he will try to win unwinnable games but he won't risk the programs future (read Dobbs or Ferguson) on them.
