You're right, but you know what? They all seem to play hard. I'll take that over last year's team any day.

And McBee's 'stache has got to go.

I'm just thrilled at the improvement TG,RW, JM have made since last year. Big time difference.

I really felt like Trae's game fit Cuonzo's style of play better, but I didn't imagine him looking this good this early. It's really, really impressive.

It's only the 3rd "game" they have played. When Golden goes out, we need to get big and go inside. Hall needs to go up strong. I've also noticed Mcbee has played his ass off on defense. I can appreciate that. I think we will be fine this year. Maybe a little better than most expect.

Yeah -- not world beaters, but we will compete a little better than people are giving us credit for.

And I definitely don't think we'll finish 11th in the SEC. The sportswriters were smoking something when they came up with that.

Being a sophomore and in shape helps. He also knows its his team, when he was just a small piece last year.

I don't see Washpun playing much against the likes of Duke, UConn or Kentucky, at least not unless he improves a lot.

Played hard the whole game. Great effort. Maybe better than I expected. Good to see Hall playing stronger around the rim and thought Swiper had a decent game.

The stat that stands out to me is this...made 15 of 24 three pointers....I don't think they had a game like that in the last 2 seasons. Defense was good, but we definitely need more size.

Even though it is UNCG was pretty impressive. Seemed to play much more disciplined offense and D. Looked like they had a pretty good half court game.

Vol fans remember two things. This is not March and we have a hell of coach! Only game one people. Relax!
Watch these other teams on TV when you get a chance.
Take a look at how they are coached. Not how great they dunk,etc.. This team will be an NCAA tourney team book it!

If Jeronne Maymon can continue to give us an inside prescence and they continue to shoot well from the 3, they will make the tourney.

No way around it. We might be subject to more "McBee at PG" experimentation if Washpun keeps struggling to run the offense.

You guys know how much I dislike McBee, but it seems that he's turned a corner. I did see him get burned once tonight, but he mostly played solid defense and made some wide-open 3s. In my book, I'm much happier with him.
