I don't want you to tell me anything considering your insightful analysis of Tennessee's offense against a small, lower-tier Southern Conference team.

I think I'll give it a few more games (maybe even a season or two) before I give the edge of coaching to Martin over Pearl. And yes, before you point it out, I know that Pearl is no longer our coach. I also know, before you point it out, that Pearl left under less than glorious circumstances. But considering Pearl coached Tennessee into its best winning percentages and tournament victories than any other UT coach, I'm going to wait to give a snap judgement as you did.

Please point out the attack I made on Cuonzo Martin. I didn't say he wasn't doing a good job either. With the way our football program is sinking into its black hole, there is nothing more than I want than to have Martin win games and get us to the tournament. My point is that I don't know if he will.

If Martin takes this rag-tag group of players to the tourney, than I will be more than happy and consider him to be a good hire, maybe even a great hire.

I'm completely over Pearl. This crap where some of our posters attack others if anyone dare praise Cuonzo or says the team looks better than last year is just ridiculous. Get over Bruce Pearl.

(honestly though your assesment that we will get pounded in the SEC is a bit overstated, I mean it would be fair if the SEC was good, but it clearly is not)

Lawvol, it is natural to compare a current coach to previous coach. There isn't any reason to rant and rave every time someone mentions Pearl. I think you need to get over Getting Over Pearl.

This isn't about Pearl.

You just watched the opponent. You didn't watch the team. They rotated the ball better, and showed an overall aggressiveness to the basket that resulted in a lot of good looks that didn't happen last year. They also had three backdoor cut baskets, which is more than probably the whole team last year. They do better setting screens and made UNCG go back to man after being in zone and watching three's rain down. That's what I'm talking about.

Well, let's see. The post he attacked was a post that said we looked better coached than last year. He then reminded us how we're going to get annihilated during the SEC schedule and maybe our fans deserve for saying "we looked better coached" than we did last year when Bruce Pearl was our coach. It doesn't take a genius, hulkhands.

You're right, the SEC hasn't been very good outside of KY, FL, TN(in the past few years), Vandy and the occasional SEC west upstart. But Tennessee has to play each of those teams twice, you have to admit it would be an upset to beat any one of those teams once this year. The team is just not big enough and they can't expect to shoot from 3 the way they did last night for the rest of the season.

He deserved calling out. You don't make stupid statements like "we deserve getting our asses kicked" because someone said that we looked better coached than we did with the guy who got himself fired and got a 3 year show cause. I'm not the one who decided to start this up, so get over it with your stupid defense of his post. There is no defense to saying something that stupid.

That is completely stupid. The topic of Pearl was brought up by Larkin although he didn't explicitly come out and say "I love Bruce and no one should praise Cuonzo." If you can't figure that out, then you're not smart enough to be arguing on here.

"The Topic" of pearl was brought up by you, I mean the posts are time stamped and ordered. You assummed that his statement was somehow a backdoor endorsement of Bruce Pearl as if you can't be a critic of Martin without being a supporter of Pearl.

I'm done with this. If you honestly believe that I injected Bruce Pearl into the discussion, you're not capable of rational discussion anyway. Why don't you ask Larkin since essentially admits to doing so? If you all want a haven to kiss Pearl's ass continuously, I'd suggest you create a Bruce Pearl Fan Club Thread, and post in it all the time. I'll never go in it, and you all can have fun with it. I'd just rather discuss things related to Tennessee basketball in this forum.

Your post wasn't criticism, it was a childish prediction brought out of thin air. Do you honestly think it's rational to say that the team is deserving of SEC losses because fans are excited and optimistic during a time of unknown change?
