Everything about college football was upfront. And no one was compelled to play college football. Anyone who did choose to play had to sign, and could have walked away at any time if they didn't like it.

It wasn't forced upon them as a condition of being born.

Like it or not, those we root for aren't on our side in this. UT has had enormous gains in football since NIL and no penalty transfers became a big thing because Pruitt left us screwed with sanctions.

What we hate has helped us and we were in the playoffs in part because of our strong NIL and strong usage of the portal. Do you hate being in the playoffs?

It's double edged. It just is. It sucks a lot and it helps a lot.

As I said, I'm trying to focus on the football which has been pretty good this year.

The politics of the NCAA, like the politics of the USA, is up to the next generation. Wake me up when Fingers posts a Spring practice video.....

Adapt or quit. Lots of the old coaches quitting because they can't adapt.

Chip Kelly demoted himself from HFC at UCLA to OC at Ohio State. One season, then just went back to the pros as the Raiders' OC.

So, he went where he didn't have to adapt to the new college system any more.

If the coaches and admins didn't get paid, they'd be doing something else. They jump ship when the money is right. Everybody does. Players were in it for themselves before NIL.

Some of us liked it better when we could pretend players weren't in it for themselves. It's crazy to oppose NIL for that reason (not saying you are).

We just need to slow down movement a little bit (contracts) and everything will settle down.

My two cents: Have DJT appoint Saban as the NCAAF Czar. Saban would for sure know what needs to be done and I could give two sh*ts that he is a Bamer. He knows college football.
