Is tennessee the only program with 6+ national titles is 2 of the 3 major revenue producing sports (football, mens
+ womens basketball)?

Its using pretty much anyones math who has ever been awarded a national title by a major service.
Yeah, nothing screams National Champs like those given by services that no longer exist and nobody paid attention to when they were in operation. Long Live Dunkel!

There were also years when we should have won them and didnt. Such as 1950? i believe

Are any of our titles retroactive?

Either way, Kentucky's 1950 title, and Alabama's 1941 title are probably worse than anything we claim.

Also women's basketball shouldn't be included with the other two sports. It's not in the same league as far as competitiveness goes.

To be fair, it's not like UT is alone in claiming those titles. 1940 and 1967 may be a little more of a reach, but I don't have a problem claiming 1938 and 1950.

Tennessee hasn't been awarded six national championships by any of the major services.

If I have the word bama in my name I would never jump into a discussion about the validity of national championships. Haha
