Onward to pulling for Memphis with UT's early exit

Wow! What a mess that was. Anyways it looks like Villanova is going to kill everybody anyways from here on out.Onward wih NOVA then ....

Memphis/Tennessee is the most odd rivalry ever. Tennessee fans think of it as another game, yet Memphis gets so huge for this. People in Memphis HATE Tennessee. I go to UT, yet my 33 year old brother hates UT. He never went to Memphis, he just cheers for them, and because of that allegiance, hate Tennessee. I still don't understand it. The teams never really play, other than basketball. And in all forms of sports, Tennessee has the better record against Memphis.

Oh, and for the whole "entering a conference" thing...Sure. That'll happen. In order to be in a major conference, you have to better at more than 1 thing. Nobody wants Memphis. Get over it. Enjoy your guaranteed 16 wins a year. Just know that the St. Theresa's School for the Deaf and Blind could give Rice a run for their money.

Anybody else think that while watching Mizzou, they were seeing our speed and press from 06-07? That running looked sorta familiar...

If King Willie gets a new stadium built, you'd have to think the Big East will come calling.

All conferences want big markets.

Don't even get me started on the Cards. I have family in STL and they are huge Miz and Card fans and I will hear ab this one for a while. Oh and you're post is insanely incorrect. Evans was not contained and you guys still just put the hurting on us. Worst defense I've seen this team play in years.

I said if we contained Evans we'd have a good shot (or something to that effect). Mizzou just wears teams down, as we saw with bricked dunks and airballed 3's...just no legs left.

There is no way Evans stays. Dude is a legit Top 5 draft pick if he comes out now. Just unstoppable. I would say you won't see another one like him, but he replaced Derrick Rose, which I would have said the same thing about.

And you should listen to the family more often (as I'm typing this, I've got a Pujols jersey and Mizzou cap on. HAHA).

You will see one like him next year, but just a little better (IMO). His name...John Wall.

Well I don't think we will have to worry about John Calipari next year at Memphis but we will have to worry about him at UK. I hate to say this but I would rather him be at be at Memphis and not at UK

:eek:lol:

EDIT: I retract that statement. Amazing how things can change in a few days.

I'm going for Villanova. I don't know why, but I like their coach more than Calhoun, Pitino, or Williams.

I am pulling for Mich. St. They have had a hard time in Michigan with jobs and such, so it would be great for the state. Plus I can't stand the heels or the Big East.
