Opening with OU

With OU losing their DC to MSST, I think it is a serious concern that they could regress offensively. The conference probably wants to highlight this game early incase the bottom does drop out on them.

If Gabriel is gone they have Jackson Arnold in the wings assuming he doesn't transfer out with Lebby leaving. Gabriel can come back next season though.

Arnold is a shorter version of Nico with huge upside.
I would rather play against a new starter than deal with the experience

Yes that is why I'm hoping they are breaking in a new guy themselves
Yeah....Gabriel in year 3 out there would be pretty comfortable in his role even with the OC change.

I dont think he is getting a lot of buzz in the draft circles so I'd say it's a fair chance he comes back for them.

Unfortunately Tim Banks and Willie will still be on the staff. I can see another 8-4 season next year our schedule is brutal folks.
I agree, looking at our schedule and going in not really knowing how the new QB Nico will fare through a rough season schedule open with Chatta, Neutral NC State, Kent State then back to back to back OKie, Florida & Bama 3 tough games in a row, UTEP, @ Arky & @UGA ,UK MS @ Home finish with Vandy in Nashville.
I see us beating in order of easiest to hardest
1.U Chatt
2.UTEP
3. Kent
4 Vandy-Nashville
5.MState
6. UK
7.Ark- away or would be 6th easiest
8. NC State @ Charlotte
9. Florida
10. Oklahoma-away
11.Alabama
12. UGA-away
My guess 8-4 if Nico has a good season with a few first year learning curve issues but if he has an unbelievable season could be 10 -2 or better. I've saw RS Freshman shine like Manziel and others so it could and has happened. I feel a lot better about him knowing he has saw what it takes in the rough schedule of the SEC. In college ball it is almost all about the QB. GBO
One good thing we have the neutral game in Charlotte and the rest except 3 are in State of Tennessee meaning we own Nashville.,

Well I guess the SEC wants Oklahoma to win its first official SEC game and who else better to beat than the good ol Tennessee Vols. Will be just another negative stat for UT football.

I don't believe that he did. Actually he was at UCF 2019 to 2021 so yes
I think he broke his arm or something one year early and they ended up getting him a medical RS and I think that was Hueple worst year there. Had a lot of injuries like the Vols did this year.

Our teams always come out flat the first couple of games.
I like playing NCSt because they are a decent team, but not great.
That gives our roster a good positive push.

I am really looking forward to playing UF later in the season.
Yes. I think it's great to be playing UF after September.

Why are we playing Alabama, Georgia, AND Oklahoma? Thereā€™s 52 teams in the SEC. They couldnā€™t find 9 who arenā€™t already playing the top 2 teams in the SEC?

This is not a good look for you. Our defense is not why we lost 4 games. Our defense has improved 3 years in a row. Can't say the same for the offense with Corky at QB.
