"I’ve told him [Trump] many times that there’s no way to make an investigation like this shorter, but there’s lots of ways to make it longer, and he’s executed on a number of those ways to make it longer," Christie said during an appearance at the University of Chicago.


“You can’t argue that the investigation hasn’t been effective so far. A number of guilty pleas, couple of indictments in a year. It’s pretty good work," he added.

Trump would be a fool to accept Rosenstein's offer. For one, it's simply asking the fox to investigate a break-in at the chicken coup. Secondly, it's just asking for an investigation that will be dragged out past midterm elections - that's a loser for Trump, too.

He should have insisted on an independent investigation with some control over who does the investigating, but that's the big problem. The FBI and DOJ will clam up (just like with congress) citing national security - there's no chance of police to police the top level - and that's a problem - very much an abuse of power type problem. It's a Catch 22 - only an in-house investigation can be set up, and that is a setup because they won't admit to abuse within the organization.

The Mueller Investigation may wrap up soon not sure but I'm sure the continued investigation of the Deep State and Corrupt Muslim Brotherhood Obama Regime will take another year or two.:)

The special counsel has fired himself simply by not finding anything relevant to his investigation. This is no longer an issue, just trying to stretch it to the med-terms.

We'll see, but if the Dims regain congressional control because things drag into the midterms and beyond, it may well be a case of winning a battle but losing the war.

There is some good news on that front though. It's a bit early for polls to matter much but the Generic Ballot Polls that were heavily favoring DEMs are now starting to move towards Repubs. DEMs need at least a 5% advantage to take the house due to there are so many heavily DEM districts that skew the polls nationally.

As I recall the makeup of contested seats doesn't favor the Dims either, but to me the bigger problem is the press and spin. I'm always amazed at their ability to take what should be a Dim negative and turn it positive, and an incomplete "investigation" by the DOJ "investigating" itself may give them reems of fodder to spin.

Trump has done better than I expected, but he's still a novice at dealing with DC bureaucracies full of people who have absolutely no intention of losing a lifetime job. To me it's like punching a huge bowl of pudding - it's messy, but when it's all over there's no evidence that anything ever happened, and the mess on the hand could well be a tar baby.

I agree. He is good at media and publicity which may work to his advantage. He has been able to use Twitter and Misspellings on twitter to draw the media's attention to get his position out. He also says things to the press that makes them go WTF that has them reacting in a way that he takes complete advantage of.

ie: MS13 are Animals. Press and Pelosi says they are not animals. Voting Public says: Yes they are.:)

I'm really curious as to what he meant with covfefe?:)

I'm sure it will come out at the right time.
