Holy hell guys! I don't post much but no one really get this? The first time I saw this was on a christian pamplet years ago... like mid to late 90's. It read that "God is nowhere?" It is a perception test. While it is a poor one in my book that was the goal of it.
The pamplet covered that those with faith would normally see that God is now here and those without faith would see God is nowhere. I am not making this into a religion thing just referencing the meaning and design.
It is the same with the doors. Those who believe they can make a difference on the field see the opportunity is now here. Those who are doubtful about the upcoming game will see that the opportunity is nowhere. It's all a mental test designed to make players aware and hopefully help them to change their mindset.
Who cares what other teams fans say about what is in our locker room. I would rather have this over killing trees, teabaging drunks, breaking people's backs at bars, and the whole State crap. This is not that complex and to hell with the other teams and their fans.
