Opportunity is Nowhere?

It's intentionally designed to look the way it does. I do think they probably could have chosen a better motivational slogan though. What happened to "Relentless Pursuit of Continued Improvement"?

For the idiots who say someone messed the door up, Dooley told the media today that it is indeed intentionally put that way on the door.

Dooley wins again.

He'd be better off saying it was a mistake. If it was done intentionally, then the intent was profoundly stupid.

There is no way to argue that this was intentional. Either it's simply a screwup in the spacing of "Now Here" or it's a reference to the Wittenberg article and the screwup would be putting spaces between the individual words. Either way, it's a screwup.

Puh-lease.

The way the individual interprets "NOWHERE" or "NOW HERE" is a choice; a mindset. It's the individual's choice or mindset to decide which it is. Proper spacing would inherently take away that choice.

It's the fork in the road. Do you know where you're going or are you waiting to be told where to go?

You decide. You're in control of your own success or failure.

Bottom line is that this is an instrument of mental conditioning. Regardless of the opinions of the outside world, it's a tactic for mental preparation being used by CDD and staff. If it helps instill a specific ethos in the team by serving as daily reinforcement to the message, then it works.

& HSVol everything your saying about the quote is 100% correct & exactly what Dooley told reporters today. It's a mindset, mental conditioning. Geared toward positive thinking.

No HS, that's simply not how it works. The moment you write everything with spaces, then you not longer leave anything up for interpretation. It's either "OPPORTUNITYISNOWHERE" or it's "OPPORTUNITY IS NOWHERE."

The only word(s) open to interpretation is(are) NOWHERE.

And here's how it works. You said it wasn't intentional, I said it was. Turns out I was right. I'll PM you my address. Send cash.

D'oh! PM's are disabled. Saved by the bell, Bammer! I guess you're off the hook this time.

...All in fun, BW, all in fun. :salute:

The word "nowhere" is not open to interpretation.

If it had been written OPPORTUNITYISNOWHERE, then you could discuss how one perceived it.

I'll concede that Dooley intended for it to be printed that way (though you'll have trouble finding where I ever made a bet). But in conceding that, I'm going to have to now make fun of the fact that your head coach is too daft to properly execute this exercise.

It's like getting an M tatoo on each butt cheek. When standing up straight it says M M, but when you bend over it says MoM. I hope this helps.

lol at the people, including ignorant fellow vol fans, who actually thought it was a screw up.

The daft ones are you, me and everybody else.

I mean the guy's catchphrase is "relentless pursuit of continuous improvement". Is it really out of the question that he would put words on a door that would be up for interpretation?
