Guys relax!!! If you follow BB much at all you remember last year??? Coach lets them play their way as teaching tool. In other words gives them enough rope to hang themselves. Then he says your way won't work this is how we do it period. He has lots of new parts that are jelling. At 1st I was watching 1st couple of games and thinking he's not coaching as hard as last year, then I remember him talking about that!! It's a long year and coach still has some work to do. Let's just relax and watch it work out!!! Trust me what's not working is fixable!!!

Who "called" for Golden? It's not his fault he's playing out of position. Do you honestly think Goldens best position is PG? Honestly?
Yes without a doubt. He already gets his shot blocked a decent amount, imagine him trying to shoot over Kenny Boynton.
One of his biggest strengths is his strength when driving...that strength wouldn't be a "strength" if he was playing the 2.
Sure it would there is no reason a 2 guard can't drive to the basket. I'm sure RH will be driving to the basket from the 2. This team needs more scoring and that could come from Golden if he wasn't being neutralized. At 6'2" he isn't any more likely to get his shot blocked at the 2 then he is the 1. We don't play against Kenny Boynton every game. Everyone recruited Golden as a SG including Tennessee but he was moved to PG out of necessity.
btw, calling other people idiots doesn't make you any smarter but it does make you the real idiot.
And how tall is RH?
He isn't anymore likely to get his shot blocked at the 2 than the 1? Really?
He's 6'1"...how many 2 guards are 6'1" or smaller? In the SEC....
We could always much him up with Archie Goodwin from UK, I'm sure he'd fair well.
And for arguments sake, ok let's move Trae to the 2...who on earth is running the point?
Also fwiw...golden through 3 games is averaging about 5 assists 1 turnover a game...that's top notch.
There are really not that many "new parts" out there. I can understand the teaching tool games argument early last year since it was CCM's first year but now not so much. I guess now when we lose it's going to be a teaching tool game.
CCM or you can let me know in advance which games are going to be teaching tool games...I'll find something else to do on those occasions. I prefer to watch players and coaches give it their all for 40 min. every time out.
Btw, if we would have had one less 'teachable moment' game last year we might've made the Dance.
This team can't get itself good shots. Their first option is to get the ball to Stokes and hope he bails them out (he didn't today). Their second option is to pass the ball around the perimeter until somebody takes a jumper (those didn't fall today).
They need to fix this. Set screens, drive to the hoop, cut off the ball, put pressure on the defense. Today, they couldn't make shots on the perimeter and that allowed OKST to just pack the paint. Good shooting and good ball movement can open up good looks (and we had neither today), but good player movement can do it as well. That's scheme, and I hope Cuonzo improves it.
We predicted a meltdown with the first loss didn't we.It's like I saw this overreaction last year.
