Orange Out Friday

95%? That's a tad much. I'd put it at 50-50.

The non-conference games against cupcakes and when the students are out it doesn't help. The Houston, O'Neill and Buzz years were lean, but Pearl had the place rockin'. It rocked last year in a number of games.

Except for Cameron Indoor, all non conference cupcakes are not loud at every school. The only reason why CI is loud is because it only holds like 7k. I have been in it but not during a game. It literally has bleachers just like a gym. They could sell 18k at Duke but they choose not to.

Yep, it's smallish and has bleachers like a high school gym. As I said, you're better off standing.

I don't know why Memphis fans are talking about Tennessee not filling up TBA, when Memphis isn't doing the same at the Forum. Crowds at the Forum are only about 14-16K ,except the Louisville game.

Wait you mean Memphis fans are talking $hit about attendance when we've finished ahead of them in season attendance for 7 straight years?

Color me shocked.

Well, I've been to 6 games this year and it hasn't "rocked" yet. I guess the seats are just too cushiony to get the old asses off of them. Trust me I've been in there when it has rocked. I was at the TX game, Vandy, UCONN, KY, FL last year. Only a select few games will it be rocking.

WTF? 2000 tix still avalable, c'mon Knoxville.

Were we expecting a sellout? Who do we play Friday? I haven't checked the schedule. Is it somebody relevant?

If we couldn't sell out for Xavier, we probably won't sell out until conference play begins.

Sad. No wonder Pastner wants to drop the UT series.

Pearl would definitely have has this game sold out.

Well, whoever it is, I'll be there. I'll be wearing pink for breast cancer awareness month.

Man youre wrong so often it's truly pathetic.

Last time Memphis came to TBA was when Pearl was here. Memphis was actually ranked at that time, so you can say much more hype for that game.

Guess the attendance....18,664

Friday's game already has more tickets sold than that, wrong again MC.

I hope it fills up, and I hope we're loud. I doubt either will be the case unless it's a real close game.

Xavier was a lot of fun, but the excitement levels were pretty low aside from myself and one other drunk guy in my section. Sat right next to the student section, and even they seemed a bit apathetic.

First half seemed dead silent on TV, but noise level picked up in the second.

Can't tell whether it picked up because of better play or vice versa.

I went into Cameroon Indoor (not during a game) and I could not believe how small it was. My friend and I were in shock.

You were sitting near many students because they were out on break.

Lower level student section was full of students, I can assure you that. It fills up for most games, but a saturday night game against Xavier? Come on. Don't give me that. It was all students.

The arena was actually relatively full. Hopefully it will be even more full tonight.
