IMO that's where people get in trouble against Oregon.....they attempt to shut down their offense. The best way to shut down their offense is to control the line of scrimage and keep them off the field with your offense. It messes up their offensive rhythm and wears their d down. We have the o-line to do this. I'm not calling a victory over them, but I think we have the ingridients to really disrupt what they wanna do with our o-line. And I damn sure ain't gonna call it a victory for them.
You are exactly right. K-State was doing this with 3 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter and they should have gone up 17-15 or, at the very least, gone into the half down 15-13, with getting the ball back at the beginning of the 2nd half. Oregon got the ball after the missed FG with decent field position and quickly marched down the field with 1 minute to go in the half. The missed field goal did them in and they lost all momentum, IMO. K-State had the recipe to beat them, but it quickly changed and that is very scary.
