"As long as we win"

Sounds like the hope and change crowd in here willing to give up on who we are to try and be something we are not just to win

We are Tennessee. F*** being the Oregon of the South. Oregon isn't ****.

We can win without trying to be someone else. Without being the next "fad" in football.

How many Championships has Oregon won?

I would rather be like Alabama than piss ant Oregon

Kiss my ass Nike

I'm good with it. As long as their are T's, Orange, White...I'm good with design changes for style and flash. We are heading into something great here guys....enjoy the ride. GO VOLS!

Way too early to know what the change to Nike is going to look like in full, but you should expect what most teams have from them. That is, a slight overhaul that keeps the traditional look, but gives the school a custom letter and number font, like what they did for Georgia when their new contract started before last season, with the font being applied to uniforms and branding in all sports. For football, you'll see a traditional look for the home and road and a different alternate each year. Might see the Smokey Gray become more standard in terms of mixing/matching gray pants with the standard home and road looks.

Growing up in Knoxville as a Vol fan you get used to the traditional Tennessee gear and design. I used to sale cokes in the stands in the early 80's. I love my vols. But Change is always going to happen. We'll see what Bama does when this ride with them is over. When you have to sell your program to bring in talent. You do what it takes. If we are standing as the lone team after the year is over. Then that sale worked to bring the talent here to put us there. I understand the traditionalist view. But like many other things. The older you get. The tougher change is. So I set aside my traditionalist view after the years of mediocrity we've had to get things back on (Rocky) Top. Because in the end. It is about winning. For me that is. I miss my Vols being in the top 10 and talked about every year. Go Big Orange!

See ya bye old timers. This is going to be sweet having some different uniform combinations. I am all for tradition but we have a new coach, new sponsor, and a new attitude. Recruits will love the idea and so do I. Flame away old guys and remind me how much more of a fan you are bc you love tradition. We do not have to change and the uniforms do not make us any better. However, I am just saying that I welcome the idea of having alternate uniforms. Some of Oregon's uniforms are bada** and some of them are ugly but it's cool to see what they are going to wear next. If it allows us to be in on a few more recruits, bring it on.

Come back when you have hair on your chest

30 years old sir. There are a few hairs on my chest, probably more than you have on your head. I say all of this in jest and hope that I do not hurt your feelings. Even the previous posts were meant to be funny. I am interested to see what Nike will do for us. I like a little change now and then

All I know is ORANGE and WHITE, that's what we are the BIG ORANGE, not the BIG GRAY, I guess we got to do what it takes to keep up looks like 102,000 fans would mean more than the color of the uniforms.

Sorry to confuse you for a prepubescent teen

I don't want anything to do with looking like Oregon. They look like their uniforms were washed with the wrong colors or torn up in some machine. Some of our traditions are sacred and holy and neednt be messed with!
We can throw in a few changes here and there but don't mess with the orange don't mess with the T don't mess with the checkerboards!
