Oregon vs Stanford (ESPN)

He was right. They absolutely SHOULD put up 40. They sure as hell haven't though. Stanford is shattering their jaws with 2 and 3 stars making highlights.

plus every smart 4 and 5 star player who wants an amazing education. AKA Smart players who stay for atleast 4 years most of the time.

Interesting question would be what would happen if Utah hadn't beaten Stanford earlier this year. Would an undefeated Stanford or undefeated FSU be a better matchup for AL?

Need elite DT if your gonna beat Bama. They can play action, but not convert 3rd and long all day. I think fsu is better equipped to stop them

Stanford's style of play is what I was hoping to see Tennessee do. I knew trying to match Oregon at their own game wouldn't work. We don't have the depth Stanford does obviously and I'm not saying we would have won but a run heavy, chew clock offense would have kept it respectable IMO.

Let's go Stanford! There is one team that can match Alabama this year. Hopefully they get their chance now

Not sure about that. Oregon's offense certainly doesn't seem like the easiest to slow down but Stanford's defense isn't exactly pedestrian either.

With everyone knowing Stanford's offensive gameplan was to possess the ball as long as possible with long, run heavy drives thats a pretty confident statement. Especially considering the matchup of Oregon's d-line vs Stanford's O-line.

Kind of makes CBJ's gameplan against Oregon look absolutely foolish.

Exactly. Like I've said I'm not saying we would have beaten Oregon but a run heavy offense and holding the ball as long as possible would have kept it somewhat respectable.

now my littlest son is ticked. With tn sucking, he has started to like Oregon and their unis. Now he's pissed and hates Stanford.

how many times do people have to explain that you can't play I formation smash mouth football with no fb's or te's in the first place. Ridiculous to suggest that gameplan from a new coach bringing a spread system, even without considering you don't even have the personnel to line up in a bulk package.

In a way I enjoy this because i remember the SEC chant the Oregon fans chose to use when they were killing UT. Nice to see them getting embarrassed. Better for them to get destroyed now instead of the NC game against Alabama.
