Orson Charles (announcing at 4:30 pm EST)

New article says that the coaches pitched early playing time as they are planning on playing Brandon Warner at WR.

"Wheww, boy that basketball game was nothing to play with," he said. "Everybody was there, there were no seats. And then I just imagined a football game and was like, 'Wow, that's the kind of atmosphere I would like to be in.' I enjoyed that."

He's planning a Feb 20 trip to USC. After that, he will make a decision.

Warren, not Warner, right?

I really wish Pryor didn't push his decision back, it's becoming a trend.

I think Charles had a legitimate reason. He was playing for the state title in mid-December and so he couldn't start taking visits till after Christmas.

starting 1/9 he's been on a visit for 4 consecutive weeks.

This is the "Orson Charles" thread, so I was addressing his situation exclusively. I'm not applying his circumstances to anyone else's.

The only ones I am aware of are Charles, Oku (possibly), and Brown. Funny that we are on all of their lists. But Terrelle Pryor wasn't the first to do this. Just the most publicized. Ricky Jean-Francois did the same thing a few years back.

Bryce Brown is doing it also.

Anybody know what the scout article said about his visit.... I don't have a subscription so all i know is that he liked it....

Scout article has some positives, but at this point we're in a 5-way fight.

article says he showed no hesitation when giving Tennessee a "10". (I believe he's given everyone a 10 FWIW)

He said he knew the staff would have him ready for the next level if he chose Tennessee.

He also said the possibility of playing as a freshman with hard work was very appealing.

His favorite part of the trip was his talk with CLK. That's got to be a big plus.

USC Rivals analysts are projecting Charles to Tennessee

albeit their confidence level is listed as low.

That is because they KNOW and understand the POWER OF KIFFIN.

This same USC site predicted Alshon to USC...and didn't even have UGA in the top 4 for Charles...I have a feeling they're a little out of touch with the east coast.
