OSU Fans Complaining About the Refs!

Evan Turner was on Sports Center and said the block could have went either way he believed, but we ended up getting the the no call so he guess it wasn't a foul...lol that shot block was no where even close to being a foul J.P didn't even touch him with he's body or nothing.

they are just sour. they got so many bs calls in that game. I was in utter disbelief at one point. The refs were awful. I wouldnt say they kept tOSU in the game, but they certainly prevented tennessee from ever making a run. awful officiating.

Come man....we would be tearing em up if we lost.....it's called venting, and we know how to do this too!

I thought the officiating was atrocious -- on both sides. We're probably not complaining because we won, but that crew should be ousted from the tounament.

Thats exactly what I was thinking.

First I read that Dick Vital is now a horrible announcer and no one on here like him.

Secondly I read that Bobby Knight picked us to go deep in the Tournament and that everyone on here likes him.

Now I read that OSU Fans are upset about some bad calls and were suppose to act like we wouldn't do such a thing.

WAKE UP PEOPLE!! BK is a great guy but could have went either way. Maybe he picks against us next year. Dick Vital is funny and very energetic. So what if he doesn't like Tennessee or didn't expect them to win.

and as NEVOLFAN said... if we would have lost last night I would have been reading the exact same complaining here at VolNation. Its funny how we try to act behind a keyboard.

The block made the top ten plays, SC said it was a clean block, all ball, showed in slo mo several times and it was a clean block.

Davis also said he was happy the refs didn't call that a foul. That would have been BS because he said it was clean!

DV is not picking anybody besides Kansas,Duke,UNC,UK and that's just the way he is.BK tells the truth and gets blasted for it all the time.If it was up to me no matter what BK has to say I prefer him to DOOKIE V any day of the week.:rock:

If anything, it should have been an offensive foul. Turner was pushing prince away with the left arm. It was clear in the replay that the only part of prince that made contact was his palm and the ball, game over!

Vitale is an ACC homer and is all over John Wall. He only cares about the superstar players and coaches. Tennessee doesn't have a high profile player so he just dismisses them. He is a fraud

The refs were def letting them play and the calls were pathetic, both ways (a la B Williams throwing people around). But nothing, I mean NOTHING, was more disturbing than the blocking foul on Prince while he was literally planted for what seemed like a minute and the osu player landed and fell into him

Anytime Turner was in the paint, he got the call. There was another foul on Williams were he was planted for about three seconds, arms straight in the air, and Turner plowed into him and got the call.

The calls we re bad on both teams. All that matters is the Vols made history!:dance:

Watched the game w/ an OSU fan. He kept on about 'The Big 10 have 3 teams left in the tourney' etc... He even ranted about the no call on JP's block at the end, saying 'he body slammed him!' LMAO. I just patiently waited and finally asked how many Big 10 teams there were left in the tourney after the buzzer :)

Man, it was terrible. Shhhh, but did anyone notice B Williams, on 2 consecutive possessions, throw an osu player into a Vol and we got the call? I thought it was hilarious but I'll take it any way we can get them...lol

The one call i was upset with was when J.P was called for a blocking foul, David Lighty goes to the paint clearly charges into Prince and instead of a charge, it's a blocking foul and one, that was the call I was mad at the most. But hey we've advanced and that's all that matters.

There were a lot of ticky tack fouls on both sides of the ball. It was about even.

However, there were 2 calls that really made me mad.

1) The 10 second call (it was more like 6 seconds).

2) And at one point in the first half, an OSU player bricked a layup then got his own rebound when he was clearly standing out of bounds.

What idiots. It's so clear that Turner threw his left arm out to make contact with Prince. He was trying for a foul.

IF Turner hadn't threw his left arm out there, Prince and him would not have touched at all. Not at all. Prince had all ball and the only contact made was with the left arm. To say Prince hit Turner's left arm is just dumb. Turner hit Prince.
